Master Forum SEO In Just A Few Minutes

Promoting a blog or website is a continuous process, provided that is you actually want people to visit your site. For most individuals/businesses/charities/artists/writers we want people to visit our site, that was the whole point of setting up a website in the first place.

There are many facets and opportunities in promoting, forum SEO just one of many.

Forum SEO has garnered a recently “retired” WordPress.com support volunteer over 8 MILLION hits on their relatively mediocre site. So, it’s a strategy that IS very VERY powerful.

Intelligent Spam, Picking Best Photos And My Social Media Links

I remember I was quite offended at the time. It was fairly soon after I started my blog in 2014.

Thanks for following my blog. I suppose your blog is an intelligent kind of spam based on the wish of bloggers to let their ego develop on the net.

I have respect for your intelligence and wish you good luck.

(Kind thanks to drwilly of drwillylip.wordpress.com for a most excellent insult)

I came to realise, It’s actually a reasonable comment. A reasonable question to ask oneself. Sometimes criticism may seem harsh, but, it can be some of the best advice one will ever receive.

It’s a question I ask myself when I’m writing or sharing – is what I’m creating enriching people’s experience of life, or am I just creating “Intelligent Spam” ? Am I sharing something people wouldn’t normally see ? Am I distributing information which is interesting ? and so on.

How To Survive A Denial Of Service (DDOS) Attack On A WordPress Site

My business partner called me a few months ago. “We’ve been hacked” he said, and “the hosting company has shut down our hosting account”. Wow I thought, it can happen to us … Hackers can really make you have a bad day !

Greengeeks are … Crap, Rubbish, Awful, Terrible, Horrible, Slow, Waste Of Money

I “inherited” a hosting account with Greengeeks via my business partner. Our sites used to be hosted with them, but we’re currently moving away from them, because, to be blunt, they are awful in so many ways.

Robert Lee had this to say, which pretty much sums up how I feel about them :

“Poor customer service. Slow Servers. DDoS Attacks. Customer Support SUCKS” – Robert Lee @ trustpilot.com

WARNING – Beware Of PayPal Phishing Emails

I’ve received now a second email from an unknown source that masquerades as an official PayPal email. The idea of the sender is to get me to disclose my login details of my PayPal account, so that they can rob me, basically.

Usually my iCloud email puts these straight in the spam folder, but for whatever reasons iCloud doesn’t recognise these emails as spam.

Gazette Theme – A New Look For DonCharisma.org

I’ve been using the same WordPress.com theme ever since I started my blog, the “Titan” theme. WordPress “Retired” my old theme some time ago, and I’ve just done the same today.

Researching current WordPress.com themes I came up with a short-list. And, erm no, I didn’t try out all 384 themes, really only the latest ones.

“Creativity means believing you have greatness” – Why ? – Don Charisma’s Prompt

I’m often curious as to why sometimes my readers don’t comprehend my quotes the same way that I do. Language, differing cultures and other factors come into play. There’s plenty of interesting conversations I’ve had – “devils advocate” is quite … Continue reading “Creativity means believing you have greatness” – Why ? – Don Charisma’s Prompt

100 Ways To Say – “Not The Brightest”

I recently updated this post, for 372 ways here.

Not pulling a full wagon.

Not the brightest star in the sky.

The lights are on but no one’s home.

Not the brightest bulb in the box.

A few screws short of a hardware store.

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

A few cards short of a full deck.

A few fries short of a Happy Meal.

About as sharp as a marble.

Only has one oar in the water.

Smart as a bag of rocks.

A hamburger short of picnic.

The elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top floor.

STOP Caring What Others Think (So Much)

At the top of my blog, just below the menu, is says – “Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind” – IN FACT ON EVERY SINGLE OF MY 2000 OR SO PAGES ! …

The same line has been there for a couple of years now 🙂

“Screw” by Don Charisma

So it confuses me why anyone would condescend to give me advice (in public) on my caring what other people think of me …

A recent commenter told me they thought the title of one of my photos “offensive” and went on to tell me that they thought I’d offended other people because of “reasons” (undisclosed “reasons”) … ALL ENTIRELY IRRELEVANT TO THE TITLE AND SUBJECT OF MY POST, I might add, which is why I provide a comment box …

Ricky Jervais said it pretty well :

We have to stop this recent culture of people telling us they’re offended and expecting us to give a fuck.

Guest Bloggers WANTED – “Team Charisma World People”

‘Bout time I gave some others a shot. So I’m inviting select guest bloggers to write something for me.

Well I say write, I’m actually more interested in encouraging the minorities – artists, photographers, musicians and designers (et al) … as I consider myself more an all rounder than a writer, per se. So then, Introducing ….
