Greengeeks are … Crap, Rubbish, Awful, Terrible, Horrible, Slow, Waste Of Money

I “inherited” a hosting account with Greengeeks via my business partner. Our sites used to be hosted with them, but we’re currently moving away from them, because, to be blunt, they are awful in so many ways.

Robert Lee had this to say, which pretty much sums up how I feel about them :

“Poor customer service. Slow Servers. DDoS Attacks. Customer Support SUCKS” – Robert Lee @ trustpilot.com

WARNING – Beware Of PayPal Phishing Emails

I’ve received now a second email from an unknown source that masquerades as an official PayPal email. The idea of the sender is to get me to disclose my login details of my PayPal account, so that they can rob me, basically.

Usually my iCloud email puts these straight in the spam folder, but for whatever reasons iCloud doesn’t recognise these emails as spam.

OMG – Madonna falls off stage at Brit awards LIVE

While we all love Madonna and what she has done over the years, it does show we can all have a bad day at the office. She certainly knows how to upstage everyone. To be fair, she did carry on and finish her song, even smiling at the end! I wouldn’t want to be the guys who pulled her off the stage though. Absolutely live, two minutes after co-presenter Laura Whitmore said ‘Who knows what will happen…It’s Live!!’ Continue reading OMG – Madonna falls off stage at Brit awards LIVE

This is me…

Good morning/evening/afternoon, whatever bit of the day you are on, I hope it’s a good one!! I recently wrote this piece for my friends health and fitness blog about my history with food; please do have a read and if you think it may help someone else who is going through any food struggles, please do pass it on. If I can help someone else to not waste years and years fretting about what they eat, it would make me very happy 🙂 http://www.hateitchangeit.co.uk/exercise/the-foodbod-philosophy/ Thank you xx Continue reading This is me…

Fellow Blogger – ME!!!!

Although for a greater part of this past week, I have felt like two different people, rather than interviewing myself, the Diva has kindly stepped in to take my place this evening. 😀 Any references you may have about my sanity (or lack thereof) can be addressed in the comments 😉 Hi Suz, welcome to my couch. I’ve been looking forward to interviewing you all month. You have some really hard acts to follow after the talent that has been here before you, you know.  There was this one guy that threatened to bring his dog you know. Anyway, tell… Continue reading Fellow Blogger – ME!!!!

CHARM IS MAgic – but what kind of magic is it?

Originally posted on An Upturned Soul:

There is gracious accommodation, yet commanding impersonality. Charisma is the radiance produced by the interaction of male and female elements in a gifted personality. The charismatic woman has a masculine force and severity. The charismatic man has an entrancing female beauty. Both are hot and cold, glowing with presexual self love.” ― Camille Paglia (please note – I removed one word from this quote because of what that word conjures… Continue reading CHARM IS MAgic – but what kind of magic is it?

Fellow Blogger – Don Charisma

I am having the best fun doing these Fellow Blogger posts. In the fifteen days I have been running this series, I have shared many fellow bloggers with you. Some of these bloggers I have known since the beginning of my blogging and some are relative newcomers to my corner of the blog world. However, each is wonderful in their own way. This week, I have been enjoying featuring some of my closest blogging friends and tonight is no exception. I am pleased to count this man amongst that group. His support and friendship has meant a lot to me.… Continue reading Fellow Blogger – Don Charisma

Sunset panorama

The sunsets during the winter months are more spectacular for me. The lack of haze means the colours are much more vivid. This panorama is a series of 8 photos which has been blended together using the free tool Hugin. I have only started using this software and have hit a few bugs. But I hope you agree the results are pretty awesome. BTW, the dimensions of this image have been reduced from 13450 x 3633 or a massive 47 megapixels. If you have any questions about how to do this, do leave me a… Continue reading Sunset panorama

Tiny Indian Squirrel

Originally posted on TalesAlongTheWay:
Though it looks like our chipmunk, this is a  squirrel found only in parts of  India.  We noticed them scooting up the trees and across the lane where we lived in Ahmedabad.  The  first significant encounter I had with this  tiny animal was in Agra.  You might remember the  most famous building in Agra is the sublimely beautiful  Taj Mahal . I was walking through the windy, narrow streets with several of the girls going  back to our hotel.  We noticed that at the nearby intersection, traffic was completely  stopped.  Several men were standing in a circle in the center of… Continue reading Tiny Indian Squirrel

Holy Cow

Originally posted on TalesAlongTheWay:
Mother Cow is the queen in the pantheon of sacred Indian animals. In fact, she stands head and shoulders above the rest. There are group all over Indian demanding the government name the cow as the national animal to replace the tiger which currently holds that honor. You might wonder how this all came about.  Many years before the  pyramids were built in ancient Egypt, or written law chiseled into stone by Hammurabi,  or paper invited by the Chinese, the Indian people had given up their nomadic wanderings. They had settled down to an agricultural lifestyle.… Continue reading Holy Cow

The walking trails along Onondaga Lake shouldn’t be a dirty little secret

Originally posted on Mark Bialczak:
It’s cold and beautiful at Onondaga Lake Park, just outside of Syracuse. Sometimes I let too much time go by between my visits to the shores of Onondaga Lake or the winding creek that feeds it. My view, you see, is that the body of water smack dab in the middle of New York State has lots going for it. Reputation be damned. My fellow Syracusans know the history. Here’s a short primer for the rest of the world: For too many decades, a big chemical plant used the waters of Onondaga Lake as its… Continue reading The walking trails along Onondaga Lake shouldn’t be a dirty little secret
