Just spotted this on Google :
Apparently if he was still alive he’d be 200 today :
George Boole (2 November 1815 – 8 December 1864) was an English mathematician, educator, philosopher and logician. He worked in the fields of differential equations and algebraic logic, and is best known as the author of The Laws of Thought which contains Boolean algebra.

Or for laymen, he’s a major contributor to the “stuff” that goes into computers (and some electronics), without him we’d probably still be using abacuses !

I never knew Boolean algebra was the concept of an Englishman. I knew the Babbage Foley was.
Thanks for sharing.
The English have a fine line of excellent minds and artists 🙂
