I hop you had a great Christmas, Don, and a good 2024. There will be a lot of turmoil here, it being an election year. I am ok with Trump being re-elected because the country has gone to hell in a handbasket with Biden in control – or should I say whoever is pulling his strings because I think he is non compos mente. I suspect the puppeteers are his wife and Obama. Four more years of his non-leadership could sink this country.
Likewise Noel, Happy new year, to you and yours.
You have this there or there about, without Trump or somebody like him, future for US seems dystopian – in fact not so different in other parts of the world either. “Let’s go Brandon”, 100%, I’d says worse than non-leadership, TBH.
Anyway, just have to make the best of things, all we can do – stay positive, more likely to get positive outcomes.
And I completely agree. I have my doubts about the next election – waiting to see what dirty tricks the Dems have up their sleeves.
We’ll have to see what happens. Some are saying Trump is the only solution, if we don’t want true dystopia and tyranny in the west for an extended period (more than already so). Farage in UK I think would be the only viable option (although there’s a couple of others, who are less well known). Europe and elsewhere, there’s “better” candidates popping up everywhere – but all-to-often they’re a let down when they get into office – Netherlands chap is having problems taking up his position, I heard, and, the Argentine guy, well, we’ll have to see what happens – the hydra of globalism has many tentacles.
Trump’s got a ways to go to get back his rightful position – enemies are on both sides, as he’s not truly a republican, more a populist, as opposed to a globalist. Didn’t even used to like the guy TBH, but, the 24/7/365 attacks and looked into him, grew to like him, although flaws he has a plenty. A successful business man, is exactly what a country needs, as it’s leader, the incumbent is basically a corrupt cronyist career politician, never built or achieved anything, and an embarrassment to USA. And, a puppet for tyrannical/autocratic NGOs and “special interests”.
Anyway, I’m resigned to whichever fate – one of my groups helped me come to terms with it, they’re in the “collapsatarian” camp, beyond populism, into “we think collapse is inevitable, and we’re going to make sure we’re ok, regardless”, lovely group of people, I got an invite, and, well, feel privileged to be with them – so, I think we just have to make the most and best of our lives regardless, resist and pushback where we can, there are stealthy ways to do this like buycotts, boycotts and supporting causes we believe in.
Anyway, will enjoy watching the fireworks, whatever happens.
On a lighter note, I have some photos taken with a lens, I can’t decide whether to sell or keep, so I’ll post them soon – your objective opinion appreciated, as will help to make decision.

The Dems (judges, secretaries of state) are now removing him from state ballots as a way of getting rid of Trump, using a law made in the 1860s. Even though he hasn’t been found guilty of breaking the law. Dirty tricks.
Just saw a video title “Trump back on Colorado Ballot”, and, sources indicate, the Federal supreme court will overturn this lawfare – so, whilst it’s straight out of Rules For Radicals – hopefully not is all lost.
When people do things like this out in the open, people hear about it, and don’t trust them.
