Heart – Don Charisma’s Prompt

Today’s prompt – “Heart”

DonCharisma.org-Heart_in_water_and_fire

HEART

Heart is the centre of emotional intelligence – the control centre. The heart doesn’t need you to do anything, so just let your heart do the work, all you have to do is be aware and keep looking, well feeling actually.

DO – Sit, walk, lay down, whichever is preferable. Look inside yourself where you think your heart may be, you know where it is, trust yourself. Sometimes there’s nothing to see, sometimes pain, sometimes a warm glow, or a trillion other things which you need to look and see for yourself. Keep looking at whatever you find, just keep on looking. I did this for 2 hours today when I went out my evening walk along the beach. Am I happy ? – Yes I am. Do I feel a warm glow, sometimes, but I’m happy anyway.

Why ? – Life is full of problems, frustrations, difficulties etc. Paradoxes often crop up and the mind goes over and over the same things, never reaching a conclusion or resolution. The mind cannot resolve paradox, only the heart can. Without learning to use the heart, one will never know the peace of a resolved paradox. And one will never know of the awesome power that lies within.

It’s the journey that counts not not the destination.

Write about it. Design it. Draw it. Paint it. Photograph it. Whatever it. Publish it. Job Done.

Do it because you want to try something new, learn something, not for a reward. Pingback me and leave a comment with the link to your work.

Cheers

Don Charisma

  1. I do a lot of works in the past with my painful, I don’t have nothing actually to shown you because I’m painting a picture and i will take a long time :). I love the picture and the pos too.

      1. Hey Don – 2 in inbox-
One is regarding a link on your site – fairly weird thing happened – so please have a look see. SSL ERROR.

      2. Sorry sweets.
No hurry hey – just thought I would let you know about it – due to it being a tech thing.
Hear ya laters (whenever that is hey – may be tomorrow from my end – 9pm UK ) when things calm down. 😉

  2. Reblogged this on Ya-Ya's Musings and commented:
This is a wonderful, beautiful post. It reminds us that even when times are tough, there is still a warmth and certainty to be found in the heart. Our minds, brains, can not cope with certain things that crop up in our lives, but the heart can. Allow the heart to lead, and follow with the mind; only by doing this can you be sure that you will be happy with your journeys in life.

    With much love,
    Ya-Ya

      1. Thank you for allowing me to reblog your post and your truly welcome. You have a wonderful talent and I’m glad I could share a little of it with others. 🙂

      2. You are very welcome … and I’m happy for you to reblog anything, you don’t need to ask permission, and it helps me … If you wanted to use a photo or some writing then generally that’s ok, but would like to be asked and cited with a link …

  3. I keep rereading this prompt to determine what my response is but my heart is so full of so much that I cannot pinpoint just one thing to be my reply. So all I can say is that my heart is everything around me and within me and I am grateful every single day to have a heart full to bursting point x

      1. You too Elaine, you’ve turned out to be one of my good friends as you know … also I didn’t tell you before but your WBIIA2 post was one of the most successful pageview wise 🙂

    1. Thanks … and you know what I didn’t know that … and now you come to mention it, it kinda makes sense, although that part I couldn’t explain !

    1. There’s no time restriction hun, as and when you like … within 18 hours would be best for me, but do it to suit your own schedule 🙂

      1. You too hun, I like to do a roundup of the responses when I start my day tomorrow, but as I say it’s not a fixed deadline 🙂 have fun too !

  4. I love the picture you’ve used for your post, Don!

I love reading your daily prompts and swear that one day I will take part. Just need to find the time to do so…. 😆

    1. That’s ok, of course you’d be welcome, when you feel you want to … the benefit, even if I just write them is that I can look back on them when I write my book 🙂

  5. Beautiful photo. I like the idea of heart as guide, rather than the head, which brings much anxiety.
