It’s an odd feeling realising that something isn’t right but not knowing what it is. That’s what happened to me a couple of days ago. I stepped out onto floor 6, my floor, and I felt like I was in the wrong place.
There’s a good reason why. Some clever person had decided to switch the murals on the wall opposite. A couple of seconds of confusion and I realised.
I thought the murals would make an interesting post, so here they are …
Taken in Thailand (c) Don Charisma 2014
They are beautiful murals. They really grab my attention!
Thanks hun 🙂
I do like the combination of white and gold. They are quite striking.
For sure, struck me when I didn’t know where I was !
sure that wasn’t just old age??
Could be …
Don, that’s so funny. I actually got off the elevator on the wrong floor once, kept wondering how they changed everything so much in one day, put my key in “my” door, and couldn’t figure out why it didn’t open the door before I noticed the number, and a wreath on the door that wasn’t mine. It would have been so embarrassing if the lady had been at home.
Yes, have done the same … one does feel a fool !
Oh, they are beautiful!
Thanks Karen 🙂
Hey Don – I think that whoever did this made a good choice – simplistic and somehow…spiritually impactive. Nice way to be welcomed home.
For sure, they are more striking than what was there before … I will probably find them as I remember taking photos … I’ll post when they turn up …
Hope all is well with you dude …
The murals have great detail. Do you know what material they’re made of? Thanks for sharing…
You are welcome, and no I’m sorry I didn’t look that closely … I’d guess it’s probably not plaster or cement, plaster is light but brittle and damaged easily and cement probably too heavy … if I was making them, probably be something like plaster made with epoxy, so light and durable ! … car body filler perhaps LOL
If it’s a one off episode then fine. I have read of ones which are permanent so …
… no you’ve lost me there Warren, was trying to figure out if it was some kind of NLP … so you’ll have to elaborate !
If you have a one off episode of being lost then you’re okay. But if you have repeated episodes of lost-ness then I’d worry. Have a listen to this great Radiolab podcast to see what I mean.

Ah thanks for that Warren 🙂
It is a bit like meeting someone whom you know in a certain context and you see them in a different place. Their face is familiar but you sometimes have difficulty thinking of their name because they aren’t in their usual setting.
Leslie
LOL, totally Leslie, catches one off guard … one of my favourite jokes is “I didn’t recognise you with your clothes on” … but obviously some judgement needed as to when it is and isn’t appropriate LOL … and some people just don’t seem to have a sense of humour …
Do you think it was done as a joke?!
Well you must have been there too hun, standing there wondering whether to get back in because you got off on the wrong floor, is someone joking with me, have I lost my mind, did I lock the door when i left the house … thousands of thoughts went through my mind in a split second … I saw the 6, and realised that I was in the right place …however I wasn’t certain until I was back in the apartment !
I love that picture, very good murals 🙂 Thank you for sharing them
You are welcome … I’m sure I took a photo of the previous ones … if and when I find them I’ll post ..
Thank you
You’re welcome 🙂
Reblogged this on Forget the Viagra, Pass Me a Carrot and commented:
Actually rather beautiful – can imagine on the ceiling of my bedroom – they have their eyes closed after all.
Thanks for that hun … and you know what, I only just now figured out what ftvpmac.WP stands for … doh !
Amazebaaaals
I think I should say thanks, but not sure !
Haha sure go ahead.
🙂
That would be strange to get off the elevator thinking it was your floor to see these. But they are beautiful.
Thanks hun … and yes had me proper dazed for a few seconds …
