Jordan Peterson – Peterson Family Update – February 2020

I didn’t know he was sick, I hadn’t seen him around for a while.

So – Get well soon Jordan Peterson, I wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you again soon.

Jordan – Thank you for all your efforts, especially concerning helping to protect free speech, and your efforts to educate people about the real and present danger of a dystopia emerging in the west.

Jordan Peterson’s channel :

He has written two books :

“12 Rules For Life”

“Maps Of Meaning”

He first came into my awareness being interviewed on Channel4 by Cathy Newman. The “so what you’re saying is” idiom has come into popularity since then – correct me if I’m wrong on this, but I think to indicate a “straw man” argument (an effective strategy (for the unprepared) to attempt to destroy your opponent verbally, via misdirection and manipulation).

(18 million views)

He has been unfairly smeared by various press outlets as a fascist (Vice, BuzzFeed, HuffPost, even UK mainstream media outlets were at it, basically trashy fakestream media). During my extensive research of him, I couldn’t find a single thing to back up these false claims, more, it’s identity politics 101. When you don’t have a single political or real reason, to dispose of someone, just call them a racist/fascist/sexist/misogynist, or whatever ‘ist suits best. It’s almost *NEVER* fair or “clean”, but it’s often highly effective, against those on the receiving end, who don’t understand how identity politics works.

Jordan has published hundreds of hours of his University courses and spoken widely, all of which is publicly available on YouTube, probably 1000s of hours in total – and given that fact, none of those trying to attack him could find a single piece of evidence to back up their identity politics ‘ist claims.

Jordan, wasn’t going away, and the more they tried to vilify him, the more he rose in prominence and popularity.

Jordan did a (rather long – 2 hours) video about identity politics :

(Nearly 3 million views)

Jordan is a University professor and (practising or has practiced for extended period) clinical psychologist who has worked with both men and women. He says his work is for both men *AND* women.

He’s married with a daughter. His daughter I think is the woman who made the first video on this page. She was very very ill for a long period, but has recovered and has a child of her own now.

Overall, I found Jordan engaging and interesting. He’s a great debater (one of the best I’ve ever heard), and a model for how to stand one’s ground in a discussion. He’s a master debater (pardon the pun).

My biggest takeaway – Responsibility is one of the main things which gives our lives meaning. That’s kinda Jordan Peterson in a nutshell.

Disclaimer – I AM JUST PASSING THIS ON (as fakestream media continues to lie, omit, cover up and spin an extreme minority narrative) – When opinions are stated anywhere on this blog they are just opinions, not facts, truths or endorsements. I am not a journalist or an activist and TBH most of the time not a “serious” writer either, more I enjoy creative writing (blogging is supposed to be fun?). I’m a centrist, I read and view content from both sides of the aisle (as long as it’s not blatant propaganda, or utter trash) – so I’m sharing this for your information, something you may not be aware of and may be interested in (or not, in which case, just go to the next post). As with any news, article, post, writing or report, don’t just take it at face value, do your own research, use your own critical thinking. Kind of obvious really, but best stated, so that it’s clear.

Cheers

  1. I’ve never understood why the one side is referred to as fascist but the other side is never referred to as communist. If we are being honest, these are the opposite sides of the political/social/economic governments. If we are to villanize one side then should we not treat the other side equally?

    1. I think in days gone by it was like this, I’ve seen movies where people were being investigated for being communist. Maybe cold war era. The west knew communism was/is a dystopian nightmare.

Politically and culturally the US (and a lot of the west) has changed making lefter more popular.

Also look at misogynist, for a long time there wasn’t an opposite word that I knew of. Then misandrist appeared out of nowhere – it wasn’t in dictionaries 10-20 years ago.

The ‘ists are used in identity politics to score victim points, and gain power over others. I’m sure when Marx laid down the edicts of identity politics he had pure and good intentions in mind, and was truly looking for an egalitarianist doctrine. But people have corrupted it for their own nefarious purposes.

And, the final point is, that politics is rarely about egalitarianism, more usually it’s narcissistic or group narcissism. Within that there are very many good people in the world, politicians included, the world wouldn’t spin without them.

I think these are some of the reasons why people like you and I try to stay centrist.

Or, that’s my two cents, anyway.

  2. I’ve seen a bunch of videos of this man, he is a great debater. You type on youtube something like “Jordan Peterson destroys feminist” or something to that effect…. and you get great videos of him letting the other person look really bad. They can´t argue with him, and her daughter also was on this podcast of Joe Rogan, who as Jordan Peterson said is a great long form interviewer.

    1. Hi Charly. Same. Since I saw that Channel4 interview I knew I wanted to know more about this guy – that was the best promotion they could have given him.

There’s also the GQ interview which is worth looking up if you haven’t seen it (it’s a long one) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZYQpge1W5s

I don’t think the guy is 100% perfect, far from it, but at least he’s doing his best to make the world a better place.

I watch Joe Rogan also, will watch the link you sent (but may have seen it already), thanks 🙂

      Speak soon

      Don

      1. I´ll see the link later on. No he is far from perfect and he admits it. He is actually a very humble man, a bit eccentric also, but humble in an interview to him he is very aware of his own flaws and tries to find ways and really put a bunch of work on improving himself. He is psychoanalyzing himself constantly, I´m not sure that is very healthy, might drive the guy nuts. I do believe he did have a mental breakdown but don’t count on it for sure. Probably if I google it I know but I think I saw some video of someone saying that, maybe true maybe not. I believe so actually, his passion for that job can be overbearing even for this type of people.
