It’s amazing how Dilemmas can sometimes resolve themselves either by just making a decision, or “phone a friend”.
In my case of the WordPress vs Lightroom plugin dilemma that I blogged about, a little bit of both solutions wise. First of all it was the weekend, which I generally try to aim to do leisure related things, so Lightroom won. Plus a few helpful words from Sharon, who’s much more cleverer than me, thanks Sharon 😉
Matt asked me if I’m a tech genuis. Yes, and no Matt – I do hold an upper second class honours degree in the tech field. So for those who hold academia in high regard, then yes I am … however, as life goes on, I’ve worked to bring out my creative side, so vanilla tech isn’t as of as much interest as when I was a kid, especially when there’s gazillions of lines of code. I enjoy the arts as well as the tech, the creative aspects of tech I enjoy more than the practical … that’s not to say that I don’t enjoy the practical too !
Artificial intelligence fascinates me, but I don’t have the resources of a Google, so I have to content myself with minor endeavours which may/often/do leverage on other’s hard work. Progress I think, humans have been leveraging on the learning of those who went before, throughout the ages … and, why, oh why is “leveraging” not in dictionary, my browser still puts a red line under it, and a fairly common word I think ?
Anywho, my plugin to end my keyword nightmares in Lightroom, is done, well it’s a testing version that works for me … should save me hours of effort and brainpower, so I can devote more time to you my dear reader. Perhaps I’ll sell it and retire on the proceeds … is that a pig a see flying past my window …
So what’s next. Well today, as it’s Sunday, I plan not to exert myself. Not that I’m believing today is some kind of special day, it’s not any more special than any other day. It’s just that my experiences in life have shown me that I need at least one day a week to “just be”. Saturday ought probably to be a “just be” day too, but …
I’ve had people who I don’t know all that well me call me lazy. In some ways it annoys me, and then I think to myself, if that person lived my life and was in my shoes they wouldn’t call me lazy. I’m not, it’s as simple as that …What’s most annoying really, is it usually comes from people who I wouldn’t call them lazy, the thought wouldn’t occur to me … fuck ’em really, that’s just rude … those who mind don’t matter, those who matter don’t mind … I know what’s right for me, and don’t need to listen to opinions of people who’re obviously deluded …
And next after that … save something for later posts … maybe I’ll be making vegetarian nut and bean sausages, or have developed some tech genius stuff, so we all get more time to “just be” … anything’s possible with Charisma, someone said …
Happy Sunday, thanks for reading, see you soon 🙂
Cheers

those who mind don’t matter, those who matter don’t mind …
That says it all. I’m smiling. Hope you are too. No one gets to define you except you. Best Sunday to you.
Thanks Sharon, and yes I constantly remind myself of that 🙂
As a digital idiot, I am must more intrigued by the nut and bean sausages!
Well could be a feature coming up when I’m making the next batch … my system has matured now somewhat, perhaps enough to publicise …
