Nothing more beautiful than an English Rose, and I don’t mean those super intelligent and absolutlely stunning actresses like Emma Watson or Rachel Weisz.
This more humble one was taken in my back garden. Sadly, it’s so heavy that it’s about to fall off due to the intermittent rain we’ve been getting over here.
Enjoy…

Almost as pretty as Hermione.
How about if I turned the rose into a wand?
Nothing sweeter either.

B eautiful rose. Roses are my favorite flower in the garden.
Mine too, although I love anything that gets some bees in the garden. 🙂
How beautiful. 🙂
Thanks Elaine 🙂
It seems that the English Roses have a sweeter scent, too.
Certainly the ones I know 🙂
Almost looks like a Chinese peony. Beautiful.
Thanks Victoria 🙂
I love roses, the old varieties have an incredible scent to them. I have a peach one called Lady Emma Hamilton, and it smells like fruit sweets! 😀
Do you have a photo of it? It’s amazing the variety of colours / smells you get off these flowers.
It’s got its buds on it at the moment, no flowers as of yet, it’s a late summer bloomer. Stunning flower though 🙂 It really is amazing the variety of flowers and plants out there!
Do let us know when it appears. 🙂
That is a nice rose
🙂
Never knew what an English rose looked like–now I do. Very pretty!
Thanks Beth.
