This is the Cutty Sark Clipper ship in Greenwich London … If was taken in 2005 before the fire that nearly destroyed the ship.
It’s a one shot deal taken on my previous Canon digital. There’s a larger image behind if you click on it.

Thanks for the reblog hun 🙂
Very nice
Thank you 🙂
Amazing pictures! all of the views
Thanks !
That is an AMAZING ship! It would look even more fabulous if the sails were installed! 😀
LOL, I don’t know if they ever put sails on it since it’s in dry dock … but yes that would be an extra sight to see !
A fitting memorial to a lost age, I can remember coming to London as a child to see the ships unload in the Pool of London and the great excitement occasioned by the raising of Tower Bridge. There were obviously me sailing ships then, but looking at this picture does bring back fond memories.
Thanks and yes amazing how much things change with time 🙂
It’s wonderful 🙂
Thanks Niko 🙂
😉
A really beautiful ship Don. I use mostly my Canon digital camera and if I didn’t bring this, then my Sony Android.
Irene
Thanks hun … as you know I’m an iPhone only man 🙂
You mean Cutty Sark is a ship. All these years I thought it was a whisky. Good-looking ship, though!
Doh … the Whiskey was name after the ship !
nice pic! agree with the others about the ship
Thanks 🙂
what a ship! Look at those tall masts with the pretty sky. Great photo Don.
WElcome 🙂 it’s a center piece in London 🙂
I am enjoying your travel tour of London. I have only ever been in the airport! ^_^
Shame … I’m the same with Moscow … only got a photo of the drinks machine … will post later …
so beautiful ship. i can imagine how good that ship if it has sailed again.
Please update more photo about that ship.
Ah, you are welcome … and yes it’s a center piece in London … will post more later 🙂
Ah, the Cutty Sark! Sighh … She was a cargo vessel, eh? – erhmmm … tea, perhaps? Whatever, she’s beautiful. And Jackie Cangro, she’s already been restored!
Yes a tea clipper I think … don’t know Jackie, was she almost destroyed in a fire ?
They have or are restoring it, thankfully. Great shot!
Yup was finished last year I think … now has a glass skirt around it …
Built in Dumbarton!
Yay !
A beautiful ship. I can imagine what it would have looked like at full sail. Too bad that it was nearly destroyed by fire. Do you know if they are restoring it?
Thanks Jackie … and yes they did (past tense) … the fire was some years ago, and this photo taken before the fire …
Never seen it =) but it’s an amazing ship ^^ thanks for the picture ^^
Thanks, and yes dug this one up from the Don Charisma archives 🙂
