Quote of the day …
“Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present.”
– Alice Morse Earle

It’s a great saying and very “à propos” under the circumstances…
Just felt like saying that one yesterday … it’s a reminder to return to presence when we get stuck in our heads.
Thanks for the reblog 🙂
Nice one!
Thanks 🙂
Living in the present is absolutely essential these days. I can only deal with the now.
Know what you mean, we’re all in the same boat.
I’ve always loved this quote so much 💛
It’s a nice reminder to be present, when you can 🙂
Usually I find these sort of images a bit hackneyed and self satisfied. This one made me cry. I’m not sure whether it’s the adult’s expression or the children’s juxtaposed footwear…nice
I know what you mean about hackneyed, and I’d rather put something incongruent or comedic, than over-used or cliche. This photo stood out from the others I considered. Gut feel, based on experience sorting and grading photos, probably, mostly, I guess – like I know when I see the right photo, to complement an idea, or concept.
The quote was originally said to me by an ex-girlfriend, but I believe the original author is as stated.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings, glad you liked it – hope everybody at Union is doing fine.
Best wishes
Don
We’re all doing good. This way of being suits us and our lifestyle. Hope all is good at Chez Charisma, too
Just about managing, a friend said to me, and is about right.
Glad to hear you’re doing good 🙂
Very nice 🙂
