Coral is beautiful Don and you should bring one home to your girlfriend 😀
I’ll do that sometime, just that this one was a little large to bring home !
Beautiful to place in a window together with a flower, when it is so large 🙂
Love its texture and color, but if it’s washed up, does that mean it’s no longer alive? Sad then, but the way of all life. Certainly a terrific photo.
I’ve dived with Coral quite a lot, and sometimes it dies because of temperature fluctuations. Other causes are things like boat anchors and in Philippines I heard they do dynamite fishing which destroys coral. My opinion is that this piece is probably dead, as it’s pale colour – coral loses it’s colour when it dies.
Isn’t that just amazing! A work of art -if not to heavy, it could serve as the base of a coffee table or just an objet d’art.
LOL … never thought of that … not particularly heavy actually coral isn’t … next time perhaps I’ll bring one home, to my girlfriend’s dismay probably !
Exquisite!
