My new camera is teaching me what it’s capable of, and I’m slowly “getting the hang of it”. Street scenes are intriguing to capture daily life, as it is. But fast shutter speeds, and good reflexes are vital, as the moment often passes almost instantly.
What I’m finding is shoot first ask questions later 🙂
Yesterday’s learning was the “sports action” setting, which I’m really enjoying for moving objects like people, animals and water features. It works pretty well shooting from a moving vehicle too.
I also upgraded to a Sandisk Extreme memory card which means I can shoot with less time between shots and more shots before the the camera gets overloaded. Very happy with it …
Anyway, enough about me … THE PHOTO – This little girl is helping her dad with the cooking of the street food … the stained and faded menu doesn’t lend much to the photo, but cropping it out, for me loses the context … still nevermind perhaps the people who keep on asking what they cook, can see from the menu !
Cheers

What a darling little girl! I take it they start working early there?
The kids help out with family businesses and stuff … In most cases I think they get a proper education, so not a child labour problem … I think this little girl probably just wanted to be involved in what her dad was doing … also he was wearing a forces uniform, so I think he was probably covering his wife or partner, and she may be the actually usual cook 🙂
looks good! did u try any of the food, DC?
LOL, not this particular stall, I’d already eaten as I was walking by 🙂
Great photo!
Thanks 🙂
