Free SEO tip – Google plus is probably the most significant social network after facebook and twitter. The main advantage of being on Google+ is the appearance of your avatar along with your Google results. My theory is that the more people circle one another the more likely for the avatar to appear.
So “circling” each other, helps us both – collaborative SEO which I’ve been writing a lot about recently. Bottom line it means we are more likely to receive traffic from Google’s search. 😀
If you don’t already have Google+ account, it’s very easy to setup and WordPress have added the facility in your blog’s dashboard to include you as Google+ “author”. Settings->Sharing.
You’ll see my Google+ link at the bottom of this post – added by WordPress automatically. PLEASE DO FOLLOW/CIRCLE ME …

Ive never bothered much with google+ other than auto links. With FB being so shoddy with ‘like’ pages currently, perhaps thats the place we should be…but how to convince the friends!
The getting of a photo on the google results is a BIG incentive, it means that one’s link is way more likely to get clicked 😀

Not sure about that I don’t use gmail … i think if you search for “google plus” on google it’ll take you straight to their page with instructions to sign up 😀
