You Clogged Up My Feed, I’m Unfollowing You

This another of those, yawn, boring, petty comments I get from a tiny

This is what I think about it :

  • So I clogged up your feed ?
  • I violated your inbox ?
  • I took a liberty in your reader ?
  • I posted stuff you weren’t interested in ?
  • I posted too many posts in one day ?
  • I forced myself on your RSS feed ?

Hmmm, interesting and there was me thinking this is my blog. Oh I am sorry, how selfish of me, how inconsiderate of me not to telepathically know exactly the number of posts and exactly what you wanted to read. What a bad Don Charisma I am, I should be ashamed of myself, right ?

I must improve, surely I must. Here let me put your toys back in your cot for you … Let me drop slices of sweet fresh mango into your mouth, and give you a back rub … would you like a facial after your spa sir ? … you said jump, but I don’t know how high, how high would you like me to jump ? I will dance like a monkey for you, ok ?

What kind of sycophant would you like me to be ?

*REALLY?*, *REALLY REALLY?* … You are kidding I hope !

Sycophant I am not … Dancing monkey I am not …

I put whatever I want on my blog, as many posts as I want, it’s my blog. If you don’t like it then press unfollow, and be gone, I don’t need to know about it …

My blog is eclectic, and so am I, human beings are, I don’t apologise for that, I never will. One blog is all I need at the moment, not 15 for every possible conceivable part of my personality. My readers appreciate variety, they want to learn something new and see something new. Not to be cliche cookie cutter morons. Most westerners embrace being individual and different, not same-ism, it’s a very lovely part of being FREE, freedom of choice.

Photos of kittens from a stock library ? … followed by a 30 day challenge of virtually the same thing every day ? … I am about interesting stuff, not mundane same old crap rehashed, recycled, remixed, served up like spam-stew … BEING CREATIVE … well most of the time not 🙂 … requests for stock library kittens respectfully denied … well, unless I find a really cool one !

I often post a lot of posts, so hopefully there’s something of interest for everyone. Not to f*** with your Chi or mess with your Feng Shui.

I do often cater for the majority if it’s something that I’m interested in – sunsets for instance.

Feel free to ignore what’s not relevant or interesting to you – it’s interesting to me, that’s the main reason for doing a blog.

For the majority of my readers, please do ignore this post, I know you’re good people that are already taking responsibility for yourselves. I know you already filter what’s not relevant to you, good on you 🙂

LASTLY hopefully some newer bloggers getting this kind of peer pressure will take heart … Do your blog how you want it!

Warm regards

Don Charisma

  1. Hi,
I do apologise if I have posted more than once. Thank you very much for the follow! Much appreciated.! I’m very new to this U fact this is my first day! I have followed you back as your page looks very inspiring… I am mainly into the wonders of the world, nature and sport. I will also be posting my personal experiences. Thank you again for the follow! Have a good christmas and holidays… I would be very grateful for improvements or suggestions for my blog. If you are interested please have a look…. Thank you!

      1. Well, I guess all of us are new at that, because the Internet is fairly new thing for Society and unhappy People have Internet and Computer too 🙂 It´s great to channel negativity into positivity, I agree 🙂

      2. One step at a time really Rome wasn’t built in a day … and yes same problems out in the world manifesting themselves on the net …

      3. OK, always open to ideas … approved your comment on “Share yourself” page (I said I wouldn’t generally reply) … and you’ve commented on some of Danny’s posts he’ll reply as soon as he’s ready 🙂

      4. Thanks … and we’re both photographers, his post have “by dannyboybroderick” on them and mine have “by Don Charisma” … cheers Don

    1. Good to laugh, and yes there was hunour in there … I got the “what kind of sycophant would you like me to be” from the cartoon version of 101 dalmatians 🙂

  2. Reblogged this on Confessions of a Hairdresser and commented:
I was a touch annoyed by my feed being blogged down, then I realized, he is right. It is up to me whether or not I follow this blog and I can easily manage my feed. As a somewhat newer and less frequent blogger, I am happy for your suggestion Don Charisma. I will do my blogs how I want, rather than how I think others will want me to.

    1. You’re welcome and thanks for reblog … settings can be managed as can inboxes … and most important thing do your blog for you 🙂

  3. I need to open up to writing whatever regardless of if it fits a particular theme… Started my blog as a uni assignment which had to be consistent, that’s done and dusted now and there’s so much more to me than one aspect of my life! Thanks for getting me thinking!!

  4. I hate that some people want to make others feel bad for using their own space in their own way. the way I see it, it’s almost like we’re in our house living our lives, watching TV, reading a book, taking a bath, cooking some food, painting a picture, talking to a friend, playing with the kids, snuggling with the other half on the sofa, taking in a movie, eating some snacks, getting up to do some exercise, trying on a new outfit, testing out a new gadget and all of the time there is somebody standing at our windows looking in. We don’t deter them and they can come and go as they please, the blinds are always up, they are in control of which window they look in, when or if. Yet they feel they have a right to start banging on the window and telling us “stop watching that movie it doesn’t suit me”, “don’t read that book read a different one”, “stop exercising I don’t want to see it”, “don’t snuggle your other half I’m single and jealous”, “don’t play with your kids, I haven’t got time to spend with mine”.

Where do these people get off? Just don’t look in the freaking windows, in fact don’t come near my house, I’m not closing the binds for anyone, I decide when I do that, I don’t ask people to come stand and look in, they decide to do that… or not.

The world is full of control freaks who think they have a right to tell us how to live our lives, well they don’t and just because we leave our blinds up doesn’t mean they have any right to start telling us how to live our lives in our homes.

Comment, join in, laugh along, give some advice, take some lessons, share, communicate but don’t control, it doesn’t work like that.

  5. just had to comment. I actually do not mind following you because your post are very interesting. Plus, I know how to handle my inbox since I follow blogs that I’m actually interested in. I think those people just follow you to follow you.

  6. Kittens are so dated (ducks – and runs a bit) – birds now – birds with attitude – that’s the way forward. *really fast sprint out…..* 😉

    1. LOL … you saw the humour, love it … ducks and birds I’ll look out for then … I had a little Thai boy trying to get in sunset photo, but because it’s backlit he’s silhouetted … will that do ?

  7. Only 15 blogs. My lord the amount of tabs I have open at any one time is countless…. My days thoughts range from sensible to absolutely lunatic status, when I have a hypo it’s even more bizarre. Just wish I could stop thinking and reading information to typing and posting…. Oh look just put words into message so it’s nearly a post I guess….

  8. Are you having a bad day Don? Remember this: You can’t depend on other people to make you happy, neither can they.

  9. Pshh aren’t there settings for that or something? And it’s a totally uncalled for comment. I enjoy your posts, they’re well written and interesting!

      1. Ah the old rebellious chick thing … can be fun sometimes, when it’s a break from the norm … I don’t even know what a calico is, I have to confess !

      2. OK, so that’s a request from the kittens girl … you! … and obviously no offence mean’t, was the sentiment I was trying to relay … but you’re a smart lady, you figured that out already !

  10. What on Earth is wrong with people? Have they never heard of filters in their email? Or free will to unfollow or just delete if they don’t have time to read? I’m not able to look at all of your posts, but I enjoy the ones I do look at and wouldn’t think of unfollowing you. I shouldn’t be, but am continually amazed when people don’t use the gray matter between their ears. Have a lovely day. ~ Viola

  11. I blog what I want when I want, if people like it thats great, if not I really couldnt give to craps less. Pay no attention to the complaints some people complain just to have something to say.

  12. Anytime I lose a subscriber, I go through my list. I somehow think I can glance at the list and know who did. Then I see who is still around, and I forget why I was there in the first place.

  13. Amusing…the world is full of real suffering and then it also seems to have… oh… so many cry babies who need to complain about something if not everything, just to feel significant in their mundane lives.
It is not like you… Don are blowing cigar smoke in someone’s private space. Let me change my above comment to more accurately say…the world is full of cry baby morons…well aside from the plethora of bigots, racists and vegans.

    1. LOL, love it, although I’m only slightly with you on the vegans, as I err a little in that direction myself … however I did have a rather rude message from a vegan the other day, that’s why I’m not completely disagreeing with you 🙂

      1. I loved it in the movie “Blazing Saddles”… after naming every bad or group or criminal element in the world the list finished with Methodists.

      2. Well now you’re assuming because I’m from the UK that I love monty python, which I don’t, it’s a little dated these days … Fawlty Towers is pretty good, also like Red Dwarf and Blackadder … oh and Guy Ritchie’s Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels are quite funny …

      3. Have not seen the last three, I did not know Blackadder was his and I enjoyed Red Dwarf which I did not know was his either… you are from the UK?

Actually I am like Sargent Shultz “I know nothing”.

One can assume many things and be wrong about all of them, which I usually am…especially when they are unsound assumptions.

      4. YEah from the UK, and no Blackadder and Red Dwarf not by Guy Ritchie, my overenthusiastic typing I expect …

Prefer “Manuel” in Fawlty Towers “I know nothing” … common theme I guess, denial, responsibility shifting …

LOL, well glad we’ve cleared that up finally …
