More Pretty Flowers

Remember the “Inspiringly Pretty Flowers” a couple of posts back … well I photographed these ones about 15 minutes later.

It always surprises me when people say they don’t have anything beautiful to photograph where they are. These flowers are by the side of the road, and there’s a building site behind. If you look closely the leaves are dusty from all the work that’s going on, it’s condo building central in this area.

My point ? There is beauty almost everywhere. It’s the photographers job is to develop an eye for seeing it. And the skill to capture it from a good angle with good lighting on reasonably decent equipment. Add to this the photographers skill in his dark room (these days Photoshop), and you’re looking at the full package. All this so that he may show it to others, so they may enjoy the beauty too.

  1. The beauty is all around us. In the leaf of a tree, in the yellow of a forsythia in this cold North Carolina day. Nature does insist on budding in the Spring. Thank you for the lovely flower pics.

  2. Beautiful Don. Have a camera full of roses and flowers from the area, but keep forgetting to download the program needed to get them on Photoshop. Never claimed to be perfect.

    1. Hey Leslie, spring not far off now it’s March 🙂 And you are very welcome, I enjoy taking these photos and posting them, so double bonus when others enjoy, Don Charisma

  3. I love bougainvilleas, they bring such a bright colour to wherever they grow. Our poor bougainvilleas got really knocked by a diabolically cold wind from northern Europe which hit Cyprus in January. Stripped off all their leaves, but luckily they have chucked out leaves again and a few flowers are starting to appear.

    1. So it’s been cold in Cyprus, I would have thought that’s rare’ish as your in the med … you survived then I see, and the flowers probably have too 🙂

  4. You’re correct. We don’t stop long enough to look around us. We take for granted everything given to us.

    1. “Never seen such flowers. Have a different texture. Seem common, only white and pinkish leaves. Congratulations on taking the picture.”

      Obrigado !

      Warm regards
