Remember the “Inspiringly Pretty Flowers” a couple of posts back … well I photographed these ones about 15 minutes later.
It always surprises me when people say they don’t have anything beautiful to photograph where they are. These flowers are by the side of the road, and there’s a building site behind. If you look closely the leaves are dusty from all the work that’s going on, it’s condo building central in this area.
My point ? There is beauty almost everywhere. It’s the photographers job is to develop an eye for seeing it. And the skill to capture it from a good angle with good lighting on reasonably decent equipment. Add to this the photographers skill in his dark room (these days Photoshop), and you’re looking at the full package. All this so that he may show it to others, so they may enjoy the beauty too.

The beauty is all around us. In the leaf of a tree, in the yellow of a forsythia in this cold North Carolina day. Nature does insist on budding in the Spring. Thank you for the lovely flower pics.
You are very welcome 🙂
There is beauty in the every day my friend. It is always there.
More reasons to miss the warm climes…Bougainvillea grew all over So Cal don’t see ’em at all in ol’ So Dak…gotta watch the thorns though 🙂
I’m just photographing so thorns not a problem 🙂
Beautiful Don. Have a camera full of roses and flowers from the area, but keep forgetting to download the program needed to get them on Photoshop. Never claimed to be perfect.
No one’s perfect hun, be great to see them when you do 🙂
A refreshing break from the real world. http://www.SiblingThieves.com
For sure 🙂 Don Charisma
Love your thoughts… that there is beauty in everything. A good reminder to stop and smell the flowers. 😉
For sure, and maybe even pull the camera out and try and get a shot ! Don Charisma

Thanks dude, very much appreciated 🙂
I love bougainvilleas, they bring such a bright colour to wherever they grow. Our poor bougainvilleas got really knocked by a diabolically cold wind from northern Europe which hit Cyprus in January. Stripped off all their leaves, but luckily they have chucked out leaves again and a few flowers are starting to appear.
So it’s been cold in Cyprus, I would have thought that’s rare’ish as your in the med … you survived then I see, and the flowers probably have too 🙂
Lovely, thank you for sharing!
You are welcome, lovely to hear from you … warm regards Don Charisma

Hey Sandra, thanks for the reblog 🙂
No problems, love sharing work I enjoy, what it’s all about 🙂
For sure, I always thank people for taking the trouble to help me 🙂
Beauty is absolutely everywhere, we just have to see it x
Totally, you’re a woman after my own heart !
You’re correct. We don’t stop long enough to look around us. We take for granted everything given to us.
For sure 🙂
Thank you ! 🙂 Don Charisma

Nunca vi flores deste tipo. Têm uma textura diferente. Parecem folhas comuns, só que brancas e róseas. Parabéns pela captura da imagem.
“Never seen such flowers. Have a different texture. Seem common, only white and pinkish leaves. Congratulations on taking the picture.”
I love orange bougainvillas.
I have many beautiful things around me, I just suck at taking the picture.
My iPhone went over the 9999 back to 0001 few days ago, that’s 10000 photos … it’s just practice I feel 😉
Love the pink and white.. you have a good eye.
Thanks, I do my best 🙂
They are Bougainvilleas…and very pretty too!
Thanks hun 🙂
Really beautiful Don. I think you belong to the lucky ones with a lot of flowers now. Here we still wait for them to come. I have only catched few this year.
Thanks hun, they seem to be everywhere here, there’s a tree outside my windows that started blooming a couple of weeks ago, now they are falling off !
Breathing in all the beauty. Sniffffff. Thanks a bunch. 😎
You are welcome hun 🙂
