I made a visit to a big Buddha that’s carved into a hillside. Apparently the story goes it/(he ?) was carved by the Thai navy with a laser. Cool stuff !
This is 35 landscape photos merged together, approx 8w x 4h. Usually I’d have cropped the panorama, and used the clone tool to make a little more sky or grass to get maximum angle of view. But as an experiement, I thought I’d just show the whole thing. Why ? because you get a much much wider field of view this way. Also you get to see what I work with, and how the raw panorama comes out.

Yep, that’s what the panoramas look like before cropping! 😉

Thailand has a Navy? Who knew? I wish our Navy would do cool stuff like that.
Only Thailand I think has lasers, I think they bought them off of Dr Evil from Austin Powers !
Big Buddha is on my bucket list – thanks for the prod.
You are welcome … and good luck ticking (kicking?) your bucket list 🙂

Right now I’m down with a cold Don, so no blogpost from me today. Hope you are well?
All ok with me hun, need to get my being vs doing balance a bit more on the being side … hope you’re feeling better soon …
Thanks Don, nice to hear you just need to correct your balance. Remember to take care of the negative stress, it is killing in many ways.
For sure, I do my best but sometimes I can’t avoid it LOL
