There is nothing more beautiful then a sky filled with lanterns! I’m so glad you got to see this. It’s on my list for my next trip to Taiwan. I’ve lit them off in my own back yard before and it was so much fun. Thanks for the follow on my blog and I wish you the best with everything!
The photos (which are really good) don’t capture the magic and spirituality of the night. Because being there was such an unbelievable experience. Seeing all those lanterns (which are quite large) in the air was amazing and even though we took heaps of pics and video, I’m glad I took time to stand back and enjoy the moment 🙂
Thanks for posting your pics and reminding me of a very happy family holiday we had 🙂
Hey Joanne, couldn’t agree more … my job as a publisher/photographer/videographer is to try and capture the feeling as best I can … every time I photo/video/write about something I learn a little more … who knows maybe one day I’ll crack the code !
Hi, all those lanterns must have looked really pretty.
Thanks for following my blog, I will have a look around yours. I really liked a quote on one of your pages: “Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind”
Hello Don Charisma,
This virtual place that you created is amazingly beautiful and interesting! I love every article and the pictures are breathtaking. The one with the Sky Lanterns is special to me, reminding me of a place and time when i lightened a few, in the memory of someone very dear to my heart. You’re truly an artist, in every meaning of the word, touching and changing lives in better by your creation. Thank you for touching my heart and for bringing a smile to my face.
I also wanted to thank you for visiting and following my blog. I’m honored and it means very much to me.
Blessings,
Carissa
For sure it was lovely, really nice … so you’ll have to come to thailand in November … personally I’d avoid the water festival in April, it’s just a few days of people soaking you for no good reason !
You could do that at your local water park. Or just walk along a public highway after a strong rain storm. The Loy Catong Festival sounds a lot better!
Yup, the Songkran april water festival is not really my cup of tea … it’s hot in thailand so I kinda see the rationale … loy catong is better for sure 🙂
So glad to hear from you , old friend. Hope all is well. I love these lanterns and they remeind of the kite festival in Ahmedabad, expect the sky is filled with them! Big smiles !

Hey Carissa, that you, lovely words, very kind 🙂 I just do my best to be happy really mostly … keep in touch, warm regards DC
I love this. Did this in Taiwan 10 years ago. Best part is writing all your wishes on them and hoping they’ll come true!
for sure … did yours come true ?
How could it not? The act of that wish was beautiful enough. I’m always grateful for that memory!
😆 good to hear and yes good memories very valuable 🙂
The festival is on my must do list. Seems like something to experience at least once.
