Not what you were expecting 🙂
One of my followers told me off last time, accused me of tricking him, light heatedly of course … And Google were trying to send me questionable traffic. You’d have though I’d have learn’t my lesson ?
Anyway, before you smart-arses start up :
Cock – a male bird, especially of a domestic fowl.
(source http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/cock)
The “American” dictionary also says much the same, so I’m well within my rights. American’s might know a cock as a rooster, to completely avoid any confusion.
So, I spotted this family of chickens at one of the local temples – Wak Ka Ting Tong is the name of the temple.
Cocks are pretty spectacular things to observe, there is something very masculine about them, always they stand very upright, as if ready for action at any minute. Obvious treat them with respect they can be very aggressive and territorial.
These guys are pretty small for chickens, might even be bantams, but I’m no chicken expert.
Taking photos of anything that has it’s own brain is challenging, they have habit of moving just when I want to take a photo. To make matters worse it’s often hard to get close enough with the angle of my iPhone’s lens, so often end up with a massive background and a tiny photo of the animal in the middle.

Crop tool in Photoshop works miracles, this photo was much larger originally 🙂

Thanks for reblog 🙂
We usually do call them roosters here, but then again, there are illegal cock fights all over the country, where the birds are trained from chicks to fight other roosters until one of them is dead. A bad thing to do to any animal, but that’s the way the cock crows in some areas of the states. Those are exceptionally pretty ones Don.
Thanks Angie, and yes I know of cock fighting, can’t say I’m a big fan of any kind of fighting except in self-defence 🙂 cheers DC
Someone is playing with search engine terms again?? rofl
btw never, ever google “Adult colouring pages”. 😉
Thanks suz, now I’m doomed to be getting more pervert impressions !
They ARE nice little cocks, & there’s no other way to say it! 🙂
Yup, that’s fairly much about the size of it ! DC
😀 😀 good pictures! Those cocks seem to come directly from my grandmother’s roost! Did someone steal them?? 😀
Wasn’t me !
😀 😀 😀 great Dc!
Exactly what I was expecting – though much handsomer.
😉 thanks sharon 🙂
Hmm. The chicken does look small. But I appreciate your attempts 🙂

I love taking pictures of roosters too but I’ve not thought of posting them up with that catchy phrase. Clever.
Thanks, but be warned google may send you some odd traffic ! warm regards DC
Haha! I love chickens. I finally got rid of my roosters. It was a sad day to see them go. But I need my hens to focus a bit more on laying and less in sitting.
One hen, I call her Attackerina, seems to have filled the role of rooster. Every time I come out to feed the animals she pecks my boot. And then if I put my hand down she tries to attack it. She’s learned that if she pecks and twists her beak she can make me jump a bit. Even in all of this she is still my favorite hen. She really just wants attention. And loves to be picked up and stroked under her beak.
Enough of me rattling. Where is this temple that you were visiting?
🙂 that’s lovely, the alpha-hen has taken over the rooster role … and seems a lot of animals enjoy affection 🙂 it’s in Jomtien
Warm regards

Quit dickin’ around, will ya? 😛
😉 LOL funny, witty, Laura !
Birds of a feather! lol
Flock together ? …
I’ll just wing it from now on hehe
on the wings of love … 🙂
You’re being a bit flighty, don’t you think? 😛
Love the photos. 🙂
They almost resemble a rooster we had when I was young, if memory serves, mother said it was a Phoenix rooster.
Welcome, and I’m definitely no chicken expert … Phoenix rooster sounds cool 🙂
Great photos.
Irene

It reminds me of the time I did a post about older women and I was looking for images, so I put in a search for “spunky older women”. Suffice it to say that while I though “spunky” meant feisty, etc, it has a completely different meaning in search engines, namely, porn, so I squeaked as some of the images came up and deleted the search name very quickly!
Thanks crazy lady … google will surely now pick this one up for god-knows-what !
And yes spunky whilst meaning strong also has another meaning …
You’re funny !
Happy NY … DC
You’re not responsible for how other people’s minds work, Don. I’m sure you know that.
LOL yes but I do like to play with it sometimes, I can take responsibility for that ! warm regards DC
