I already posted a photo of this bell, but for those who missed it :-
It’s a big red bell, must be 8ft high and the support must be 16ft. Darn it, I didn’t try ringing it, hmm, not quite sure you ring a bell this size, more like “dong it” ? Do you need a donger to dong a bell ?
It’s Chinese I think … (I couldn’t read the writing)

Taken at Lower Big Buddha Hill, Thailand Nov-2013
Is that in Pataya? Just outside the city? And under the hill next to the bell there is Japanese Buddhist garden too?
Correct 🙂
Been there in 2006 – loved it! Your pictures are great. And I would love to go back there again… Oh the country, oh the food!!!! 🙂
Yes it’s awesome, I’m here on extended visit, love it 🙂
VERY NICE……SINCERELY ANDREA:))BLESSED
Thanks Andrea 🙂 warm regards DC
I love the photos you post. They give me artsy ideas every time I see them. Keep them coming!
You are welcome … and happy to inspire, very happy 🙂
You should always ring the bell. lol
I always get visions of armed police appearing from nowhere when I’m thinking of “breaking the rules”, tends to put some caution into what I’m doing … that day I simply took 200 photos in an hour, so didn’t have time for anything but the photography 🙂
Yes, I understand! No secret police, please!
Maybe I’ll ding it and take a video put on blog 🙂
🙂
You need a clapper to ring a bell… in Thailand, it might be sanskrit…
OK, not sure it’s sanskrit in Thailand, I think they have their own characters, not looked it up but sure wikipedia would yield answers:)
