I’m a bit of a phoenix, as my life changes, so do I and the things I focus on and do, I guess it’s much the same for everyone.

“Life has three rules: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

– Paradox: Life is a mystery; don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.

– Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure

– Change: Know that nothing ever stays the same.”

What I love about teaching is – what’s more satisfying than helping someone else achieve their dreams and become all they can be ?

Not many a tradesman’s job that I can’t do or haven’t done. Whilst I can be incredibly creative, I can also be incredibly technical. So art + geek, or any degree in between.

I like to fiddle, play, hack, build, create or what-ever-you-like, with software and hardware, DIY in the world of technology, love it! Cooking up ideas in the thought kitchen, ideas-chef, sometimes I am 😛

I believe in God, but I’m not religious. Knowing myself and taking responsibility, I know are key. Also “let it be, let it change, let it go.”. So simple wisdom, “KISS”, ie Simple Stupid !

DON CHARISMA,mac,freelancer,macintosh,macbook,laptop,computer,iphone,workplace,google,self-employed,blogger,internet,seo,investigationIn the internet realm I built a successful company that SEO’ed number one for quite some time, all my own doing… well a little help from my family and friends. Right now we’re doing well on Google etc with DonCharisma.com and DonCharisma.org

Making money isn’t so hard, keeping it, now that’s a challenge:) Financial freedom and passive income would be nice, but for most of us it’s hard work that keeps the bank manager at bay.

The best of both worlds is to be do something I love and make a decent living doing it. That said, happiness trumps wealth, for me, almost any day of the week, so I’m happy doing something I love, like blogging 😀

My Blog My Way

This is my personal blog for things that interest me, from the mundane and everyday, to the very exciting and fun. Art, design, geek, writing, photography, videography, improv and opinions … oh and did I mention I love watching movies, and my life wouldn’t be the same without music.

BUT Overall, Charisma is “what it’s about”.

If you’ve found this page I hope you enjoy what you find here, and I wish you happiness and success in your life.

Most of all I hope that some of you reading this will become friends. WHY? Well, it’s not possible to have “enough” good friends, the world is a far far better place for those that like us and probably wouldn’t turn without those that love us 😀

Thanks for reading,

  3. Hi Don and thanks for following “Madisonmusicblog”! I’m just learning how to have fun with it – I think I’ve gotten over the ‘what to write about’ syndrome.

    1. That’s good it’s an initial hurdle, once you’ve overcome that and realise you can write about anything you want … the world is your oyster !

You are welcome, lovely to hear from you

  4. Don where were you hiding for so long my brother? You are a lucky man you can do your thing full time. If I could the same I would be a mamba!!!!!

    1. LOL, I don’t know, but one of my searches has reunited us, that’s the main thing, right ?

Certain sacrifices have to be made in order to do more of what I want, but generally happy to make most of them …

      Stay cool too bro …

      Warm regards

      Don Charisma

    1. Not much, more of a night owl … sometimes life forces me to be up at ridiculous-o-clock, so I make the most and get some sunrise photos 🙂

  8. Thank you Don for following us. You write words to live by ~ true and factual about life. In the animal world they live in the moment, not wandering about what is next, never judging, never judgmental – life to them is the basics – eat, sleep, play, work (sometimes).

    1. You are very welcome, and lovely to hear from you … I’d say a balance between in the moment, the past and the future, is for me the answer 🙂 warm regards Don Charisma 🙂

  10. Thanks for following! We’ve lately been discussing the aesthetics of our world as being one of the essential parts of human-ness. Beauty and joy – maybe even the reason we’re all here. I look forward to what you’ll say and do next.

    1. You are very welcome … not really sure what to say to that, I thought the reason we we’re all here was a gleam in our father’s eyes … still I could be wrong on that LOL … and what to do next, you’ll have to keep following to find out !

  11. Thanks for the follow. We seem to have a similar approach to our blogs. I tend to think that I am a virtual cesspool of knowledge that over flows from time to time. Keep smiling.

    1. You are very welcome … I’d probably prefer to think of it as a gold mine of ideas, but each to their own … keep smiling too 🙂 warm regards Don Charisma

  12. Hey Don! Thanks for the follow! I love your diversity – you give new meaning to the idea of “Jack of (many) trades!” and in fact looks like THAT is what you are mastering 😉

    1. Hey Tallie, you are very welcome, and yes I try a few things, see how they work out, variety being the spice of life … speak soon Don Charisma

  13. Hey, thanks for following my blog!

I feel somewhat humbled by yours, though. Mine is very bare by comparison.

    1. Hey Luke, you are very welcome … we’re all writers and publishers here, so whilst it’s flattering, no need to be humbled – we’re the same ! warm regards Don Charisma

  14. What a beautiful website you have here! Thank you so much for sharing your beauty with so many others. Your creativity is an inspiration! All of My Love!! ~ xoxo

  18. Thanks for the follow! I browsed through your blog, and found it very catchy and definitely charismatic. I especially loved the part where you’ve written, “I’m bit of a phoenix” – what a delightful comparison.

The Girl Who Speaks (To Herself)

    1. You are very welcome hun, and thanks for your kind words … We all speak to ourselves don’t we ?

As for how I found you – would you ask the magician how he does his trick ?

      Warm regards

  22. Hi Don, thanks for the follow. Quite an interesting blog you got out there. And very inspirational too. Look forward to coming back for more of such inspirations, whenever I face with a writer’s block. Cheers!

  23. Thanks for the follow! Love your ‘About Me’ section, especially seeing life as paradoxical, humorous, and changeable- very true! Looking forward to your blog. 🙂

  24. Hello Don,
I have you in my Google+ circles but had no idea you were on WP. Goes to show how much time I spend on G+. Saw the buddha image. Perfect timing as I spent yesterday at my favorite spiritual retreat. I took a photo of a beautiful buddha there! My sacred heaven..

    1. Hey aimee, lovely to hear from you … WordPress is my main residence online, G+ is more an outpost, so sorry if I haven’t added you back, it takes me a while 🙂

I hope you enjoyed your retreat. I did a 10 day vipassana back in 2010, it was very helpful to me. I’ve adapted what I learnt to how I want to meditate.

      Warm regards

      DC

      1. It’s all good! I now realized that it was through WP and not G+ that I originally saw your profile.
My “retreat” was a personal one for the day. I had to take some time out for me. 🙂 Do you have any travels after Thailand?

      2. I like it here and like to stay in one place for time enough to get relaxed and get to know the place … there’s many places I’d like to visit by funds and time don’t allow at the moment … maybe if I make my millions in the next few years, I can travel more 😉

      3. Amen to that! A friend is on his way to India for a month. He’s a spiritual minded soul as well. I honestly feel the universe grants us the places that we should be in for various reasons. Personal growth and exploration.

      4. For sure … I reckon often we get fed up in places that aren’t right for us, then move on, for me it’s free will rather than fate … but I know others believe it’s fate, which is cool with me too …

      5. Yes, some see it as destiny or free will. I think all of these views are intertwined. It just fascinates me how we all get to certain points in our lives. A never ending journey!

    1. No worries dude, I think we forged a lasting friendship and I’m always singing your praises … so be in touch when you can …

All good for me thanks 🙂

      Cheers

      DC
