I’m a bit of a phoenix, as my life changes, so do I and the things I focus on and do, I guess it’s much the same for everyone.

“Life has three rules: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

– Paradox: Life is a mystery; don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.

– Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure

– Change: Know that nothing ever stays the same.”

What I love about teaching is – what’s more satisfying than helping someone else achieve their dreams and become all they can be ?

Not many a tradesman’s job that I can’t do or haven’t done. Whilst I can be incredibly creative, I can also be incredibly technical. So art + geek, or any degree in between.

I like to fiddle, play, hack, build, create or what-ever-you-like, with software and hardware, DIY in the world of technology, love it! Cooking up ideas in the thought kitchen, ideas-chef, sometimes I am 😛

I believe in God, but I’m not religious. Knowing myself and taking responsibility, I know are key. Also “let it be, let it change, let it go.”. So simple wisdom, “KISS”, ie Simple Stupid !

DON CHARISMA,mac,freelancer,macintosh,macbook,laptop,computer,iphone,workplace,google,self-employed,blogger,internet,seo,investigationIn the internet realm I built a successful company that SEO’ed number one for quite some time, all my own doing… well a little help from my family and friends. Right now we’re doing well on Google etc with DonCharisma.com and DonCharisma.org

Making money isn’t so hard, keeping it, now that’s a challenge:) Financial freedom and passive income would be nice, but for most of us it’s hard work that keeps the bank manager at bay.

The best of both worlds is to be do something I love and make a decent living doing it. That said, happiness trumps wealth, for me, almost any day of the week, so I’m happy doing something I love, like blogging 😀

My Blog My Way

This is my personal blog for things that interest me, from the mundane and everyday, to the very exciting and fun. Art, design, geek, writing, photography, videography, improv and opinions … oh and did I mention I love watching movies, and my life wouldn’t be the same without music.

BUT Overall, Charisma is “what it’s about”.

If you’ve found this page I hope you enjoy what you find here, and I wish you happiness and success in your life.

Most of all I hope that some of you reading this will become friends. WHY? Well, it’s not possible to have “enough” good friends, the world is a far far better place for those that like us and probably wouldn’t turn without those that love us 😀

Thanks for reading,

I particularly enjoyed reading the ‘Who’s blog is it anyway’, Elaine’s story about hiring two private investigators to follow each other had a wonderful moral.

    Cheers,

    Ken

  5. Thanks SO MUCH for following my blog sweetbabyveg. I am so wondering- how did you find it? And what made you want to follow? But there I go, always trying to work things out when I should just go with the flow! I really smiled at your message about Paradox, Humour and Change. You are so right. Life keeps on throwing up issues which we can not control and changes which we have to adapt to. But the incredible thing is that what comes out of that is something which although is scary at first, is incredibly rich and rewarding…….like blogging! A year ago I never would have been talking to Don Charisma, looking at panoramic views of Thailand and sky lantern! Here’s to a lot of fun visiting you blog! -Karen.

    1. Hey Karen, yes I think blogging can have a very powerful effect on people for the positive. How did I find it – so you’re the one who asks the magician how he does his magic ?

Life has a way of challenging us, and rewarding us for rising to it’s challenges … sometimes !

      Warm regards

  9. Hello Don! I wanted to thank you for the follow, and let you know that I have really enjoyed browsing through your blog. I really like all of the photos from Thailand. My step-grandfather (say that three times fast…) lived there for a great portion of his life and he loved the country to pieces. While I never got the chance to ask about his experiences there, it’s always nice to see photos floating around and speculate if he might have seen similar sights.

Anyway, I’ll be following you as well, and I wish you the best 😀

  10. Hi Don, thanks for visiting and following my blog! I have followed you via Bloglovin, which has been my reader of choice. I look forward to checking out more of your work! Cheers, Lynne

  13. Hi Don,
How did you ever find my blog, Booze In Texas? I never did anything with that blog, I think it was actually an accident that it was created when I was first learning my way around WordPress.
I tried to get into it to delete it and can’t even get into it now. 🙂
    Hope you are well!
    Penny

      1. It’s awesome belinds, and at first glance it does look like one of those disco mirror balls with the coloured light … I never put the flutterby together until you mentioned it ! …

      2. It’s cool belinds, it’s like an image with two layers, the first glance and then the deeper glance … a good thing like the poetry 🙂

      3. Oh dear – theres the weird smile thing again *~*

  16. I went to leave a comment the other evening and you were ‘full-up’ my friend. You are a man who wears many hats, socks and let’s throw in shoes for good measure. I dreamt last night I went to blogland. I accidentally bumped into you and when I did thousands of your followers yelled at me to give you back your hat. I didn’t even take it. You weren’t wearing a hat that day.
    AnnMarie

      1. Ah, so you’ve read my pasta recipe, an if you’re not dumping sauce onto pasta, well not at least tomato sauce then you’re alight with me !

  17. Hey, thanks for the follow. Sounds like an interesting blog. The elements that make up our life is a very interesting subject and, actually, is the subject of my debut novel that will be released very shortly (The Path Through the Eye of Another). You can read excerpts on my blog. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts!

    1. Hey davey, for sure, there are it seems many elements, I’m always trying to refine and simplify … however life still remains complex … and should probably take the peaceful warrior’s approach and stop trying to figure it out …

Good to hear from you, hoping that your book will be a big success 🙂

      Warm regards
