When we hate our enemies, we are giving them power over us: power over our sleep, our appetites, our blood pressure, our health, and our happiness. Our enemies would dance with joy if only they knew how they were worrying us, lacerating us, and getting even with us! Our hate is not hurting them at all, but our hate is turning our own days and nights into a hellish turmoil.

  1. I couldn’t agree more. All the energy wasted on ‘hating’ your enemy, while that person goes on with their life, is just ridiculous. I personally had to stop wasting time and energy hating my enemy when I realized I was missing my own blessings.

  2. Reblogged this on Through My Eyes and commented:
Definitely something to think about. Love, don’t hate. And if you find it hard to love, simply ‘ignore’… because sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

  3. Yes. That’s why keep calm, normal and stay happy at least in front of them. though you are angry, but if you pretend to be happy then their “days and nights [turn] into a hellish turmoil.”
