  1. I was said when I read this. I asked myself why I could not accept it. It requires a lot to persuade about a good idea. I do not know if should be sold as a mediocre one in the first place.

  2. if a great idea inspires no one, why do you call it great? instead i would call “great” idea mediocre, and “mediocre” becomes great by default.

    1. Because popular perception is no measure of whether something is crap or awesome … and there’s a little thing called marketing and advertising that HUGE companies spend BILLIONS on, whilst smaller setups can’t compete … so these are some of the factors that’d skew enthusiasm, so that a great idea can be treated with less enthusiasm that a mediocre one …

      1. My stepdad bought Beta! Sharper picture (for those of us old enough to remember life before HDTV 🙂 ) but as VHS took over there were less and less rentals available for Beta…he finally bit the bullet and switched.
