  1. Don’t I just love this! This is where we getting all wrong most of the time – trying. Often, we give up before we put our ideas into practice. Or we give it a shot but give it up if it doesn’t give us ‘results’.

Another killer to trying is procrastination. An idea, very bright, might hit you but instead of putting it down or acting on it, you promise to do it some other time. So bad!

If only we could hold or hug the idea of trying and always trying just one more time, achievement would be a piece of cake. Did I just say ‘cake’!! Hope I don’t irk any cake lover in here!

    1. How many times do we have to try?
Can we also succeed some times?
We should avoid having trying as a goal.
How can we know when we can get it? I am not impatient here. I just feel there is much more to just trying.

      1. We try until we get it right. Let trying not be our goal but let’s try with a goal. Strive to better our tries. Better yet, try on different fronts and with different perspectives!

    1. Good Morning Mr. Charisma,

I don’t want to bother you, but I was wondering your opinion on ordering verses in poetry, does that matter or ought they be left in the order they come out in? loll I would truly value your opinion, as I find myself in a pickle once again and yours was the best one given the last time I had an issue.
All the best and my respect,
      AK

      1. Hey, I’ve never given it much thought to be honest … when I’m writing I first get the ideas down, then polish, the reorder if I feel neccessary, then polish, then polish … in fact I often polish until I’m sick of reading my own writing … if I’m sick of reading it, that means it’s finished 😀

There are structures for styles of writing … reminds me however of Robin Williams’ “Dead poets society” where he encourages the boys to rip the analytical “How to write a poem” page out of the book … watch it if you get a chance, great movie …

  2. Good evening Mr. Charisma, you have been good enough in the past to give myself and others your opinion on writings and poetry, I have a new poem I wrote today. I need to turn in an assignment tomorrow for my writing class. Do you feel this will do or is it too sappy and sweet?
Go ahead, be critical, I can take it. 😉
    Thanks sincerely,
    AK

    poem to follow:

    “What Makes You You”

There was no easy way to say, all the things I felt today,
So I reached deep down inside of me, to try to find the words to say.

    No such words could there be found, so I kept searching all around. I had to find a way to express, all my joy and thankfulness;

For all the times you’ve seen me through, when I was sad or
feeling blue, you always knew just what to do, that is just what makes you you.

    1. What’s not to like ? … you write very well so hard for me to criticise … I feel it will do because of you 😀 … there you go I’m a poet and I didn’t know it …

It is sappy and sweet, hence the charm … some people won’t like it for that reason, some will … what’s important is that you like it … it’s your passion and enthusiasm that’ll shine in your writing, not getting it right in the eyes of others …
