Chinese Lanterns

This was taken at my local shopping centre/mall, there’s an oval shaped opening which extends from ground floor all the way up to the roof. This display hangs in the space and is just a breathtaking array of colour.

  1. Great pic Don. I lived in China (Beijing & Hong Kong) for 3-years and the displays of colour and interpretations of gwailo holidays were colorful and interesting. I will never forget the Christmas rabbits because it was the Year of the Rabbit which I thought quite clever. Don’t know what they do for the Year of the Rat etc.

      1. Actually … actually … I saw a huge rat at the floating market near a buddha statue … it’s due for posting sometime soon … not exactly a christmas rat … but …
