The gap seems to close in bursts. Oddly though we often do not see the progression EVEN in the bursts of change. But if we look BACKWARDS… and try remember what some of our dreams have been…maybe we underestimate how many HAVE come to pass. The problem with people is – we dont stop dreaming JUST because one dream becomes part of reality… always striving further, higher, stronger, bigger…onward and upward 😉
There’s something to be said for appreciating the here and now, being happy with what we’ve got … that’d be “the present”
There’s still the future to plan, prepare and dream about … obviously that’d be “the future”
The past’s gone, so don’t need to think about it all that much …
One thing that was suggested to me was to keep a journal, so one could look back on the past dreams in the present and see how far we’ve progressed … not everyone well organised enough to keep a journal, so I reckon perhaps journeys via the imagination into the past, could be used for this purpose …
My two pence worth, today, tomorrow might be different !
Tomorrow very well does often bring a different perspective…and that is perfectly acceptable actually – all part of the process right?
Yip – writing kinda does that for me somehow… going back and seeing where one has been and what has been overcome.
Another cool thing was suggested to write down good things(or just things) that happen in a year and put them in a jar – and on new years day – open them all up. My jar would be fairly large with the epistles squished inside it. LOL>
Sounds like a fun new years day 😀 … I look back on some of my old writing and yes it brings back where I was and compare with where I am … it’s progress, I’m fairly sure 😀
Inevitable

Sometimes that first step away from the “normal” is terrifying, but nothing can be so rewarding as chasing – and achieving! – your dreams.
