Blogging, Photography, Play Kite Flying Day A local kite festival had plenty of interest, especially all the kids making their own kites. Being the hottest day of the year so far (in the UK) helped too. Take London, UK © dannyboybroderick Share this:PinterestLinkedInPrintEmailTelegramLike this:Like Loading... Related
My kids have done that a few times. Usually letting go of the string when the wind is strongest. Oops. Reply
Two nieces were trying to fly their kites a couple of weeks ago. I saved the day by stabilizing the kites with soda cans containing just a little water tied to the tails. Made me wonder why I parked my kites in the basement at least five years ago. Reply
I have kites for my kids, but need more practise getting them flying good and learning a few tricks. A little wind is what I need at the moment. Reply
So it’s warm in the UK? Well it isn’t so warm yet here in Canada. The Kites look like fun. Leslie Reply
Well it was 24C which is pretty good for this time of the year. For Don that would probably be a bit chilly. Reply
I always loved flying kites when I was a young child. Definitely something I will encourage my future children to do with me. Reply
I don’t see many kids playing with kites these days. Although they all seemed to enjoy it that day. Reply
Yeah, me neither. It has become a lost art. Hopefully my future children can bring it back among others.
I used to love flying kites as a kid. And I cried whenever I lost one as well. xx

Yep, oops. Kids will be kids. I remember doing that very thing. xx
What a scary looking kite. It looks like a flying piranha.
