Taken during last year’s Loy Catong festival in Thailand in November. A sky full of sky lanterns 🙂
“Michael Jackson-orama” because he’s now just a bright light drifting in the night sky … just for fun and Google … of course …

Wow, it is truly amazing. One day I hope I will be able to see it in real life
Thanks KAte, and yes I hope you will too … Thailand is an amazing place to visit, and also other parts of Asia have sky lanterns for festivals 🙂
I have yet to fly one of those. They are so beautiful 🙂
Tis fun, hope you get the chance soon 🙂
Gorgeous shots. I’ve tried to take pics at night with my phone but just get blackness.
It’s trickier than in the daytime, and a lot of my shots I found I had to learn more in Photoshop to bring the colours out … I reckon probably at least half my night shots with my iPhone 4s are unusable … so yes it’s trickier at night to get good photos 🙂
PS holding the camera dead still is something I’ve nearly perfected as a result of taking night photos !

THanks for the reblog 🙂
so beautiful!
Thanks 🙂
I love this scene…so relaxed and calm in comparison to the London street picture with driving cars
— also very beautiful.
Thank you 🙂

Thanks for reblog 🙂
These are cool!
What did you shoot this with?
iPhone 4s
I wonder what kind of impact phones have had professional photography over the years?
No idea but I get some very nice shots on mine …
tru dat
If I had $99000 to spend maybe I’d buy a 75 megapixel DSLR … but I don’t so I have to make do with what I have … plus I can’t really see myself with a bag full of lenses and a heavy camera … but never say never !
I used to carry a Nikon D90 around. Was a lot of fun but geesh what a mission.
I’ve always had small cameras and still been put off by having an extra valuable to carry … the advantage of the iphone is I take it everywhere anyway 🙂
Couldn’t agree more! Up here in Congo you cant take photos in most places so without my Samsung I would have missed a lot.
So I reckon in answer to your original question, it’s probably been a very awesome thing for photography putting more/better equipment into ordinary people’s hands … my photography would never have developed if my iphone didn’t have such a great camera …
Keep up the good work.
I’l do my best, all I can do !
I love this 🙂
It’s kind of magic
Thanks Niko 🙂
They are beautiful and magical in my eyes……..
Thanks hun 🙂
