A shot of the Eurofighter jet plane which has been hung from the ceiling of the RAF museum. There are quite a number of planes that have been displayed this way, which provides great viewing from the balcony area of the museum. Let’s hope those rather thin looking cables are strong enough to hold the weight.
The surprising thing with the Eurofighter, and other modern fighter planes is the sheer size of them. Placed next to the North American P-51 Mustang, the Eurofighter looks like it was built for giants. It looks at least 3 times as big as the old fighter.
Great pictures from the RAF museum! reminds me of a trip I took once to the air and space museum at the Smithsonian in Washington DC! Fascinating stuff!
Thanks Elaine. Yes I love wandering around these places – especially as it keeps the kids entertained!
🙂
I think there is a Spit Fire plane on display in a field in Ottawa, Canada.

I have one coming up soon – check back tomorrow for the Hurricane & Spitfire…
My uncle flew one of those in the second world war.

Looks like an amazing place! 🙂
Well worth a visit – especially as it’s free to get in!
I love them, too – reminiscent of the Udvar-Hazy Museum – part of the Smithsonian family.
Reminds me in a way of the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washington DC. Love these kinds of places!!!
It was my first time to this museum, and was very enjoyable. Kids loved it too.
