These are the last of the photos that I took at the pretty decent Italian restaurant I visited here … There’s a kind of nautical theme going on, even one of the rooms is built with the wooden beams like the interior of a ship. It’s a cool place, they let me photograph and the pizza was quite nice to boot 🙂

Yay, they won a certificate in 2008 :

Seems to be the opposite of the “authentic” place with the piss poor pizza. Good food, they let you take pictures, and they did not call themselves authentic.
A winner!
Almost … however there’s a better pizza restuarant that I’ve yet to photograph that’s almost on my doorstep … so watch the space for super amazing awesomeness 🙂
It reminds me of the Da Pino Restaurant in Moscow. They had a piano man there.

🙂 I’d like to go to moscow properly, I only ever managed to get there on a stopover at the airport … was quite amuzed by their vending machine “Cok Juice” … Cok in Russian means juice, sorry it’s just my juvenile sense of humour … was the piano man any good ?
Moscow was very interesting and is well worth another visit sometime. The architecture is very European and delightful. The piano man was very good too. He played non stop and all the golden oldies. Have a listen to my Da Pino Piano Man in the album Sahara Rose. It is a hoot. It made me laugh then and it still makes me laugh.

The dining room – you could imagine yourself having dinner inside a ship! Who would have thought it in Thailand?
LOL … for sure, in a European ship no less … I do actually like this restaurant even though there’s better pizza elsewhere …
Grappa is an italian liquor but it is unfortunately not from Tuscany but from the Veneto region and the vessel “Amerigo Vespucci” is stationed in the harbour of “La Spezia that is in Liguria.
It is like saying that the the Aircraft-Carrier Nimitz belongs to the Mexican fleet 😉
Cheers from Tuscany 😉
OK, thanks for that … are we sure the barrel is a grappa barrel or is it wine ?
The Chianti Wine barrell are at least of 300 liters: that seems too small 😉
I honestly don’t know either way, I would bow to superior knowledge on this one … 🙂
It is not a superorio knowledge: I was born and I grew up there! But when we talk about other parts of the world I rest in silence! 😉
P.s.: I am impressed by the places that you show in your photos, and honestly I’m almost “envious”!
🙂
tnx for your photos!
You are welcome … and obviously very happy for you to comment as and when you see something that makes you want to comment … envious I hope in a good way 🙂
.. there’s a redundant “O” in that adjective “marvelous” 😛 I’m drunken 😀
Don’t worry dude, I didn’t even notice 🙂
🙂
Marvelouos restaurant and photos, Don. Thank you for sharing. Great great Tuscany region
Ah, thanks dude … and I’m totally clueless on what’s regional in Italy so thanks for filling in the gaps 🙂
You’re always welcome, Don 🙂
