Evening Beach Panorama, with Fisherman

My iPhone doesn’t like taking evening/night photos, but somehow these came out nice. It’s late evening on the cusp of darkness, with a moody sky and a fisherman and his rod grace the shot.

I used PTGui Pro to stitch the photos together.

  1. All my photos are taken with an iPhone 4S. I never get such good quality with my camera and the phone is always with me. I’m not a fan of the panorama function although I do use it occasionally. I do wish it had an inbuilt macro lens though and maybe some shutter speed doodads. Maybe the iPhone 7 eh? My son does have a macro add on for his but he won’t let me play with it.

    1. Daytime I get some awesome photos with iPhone 4s, night photography is a bit specialist and iPhone 4s well not great, but I’ve yet to have a camera that was awesome at night. The panorama function isn’t great, sometimes with a bit of planning regarding lighting it’s possible to get fairly good panos. But for best results I do my own stitching. Someone suggested the addon, I’ll have a look and see if I can source one. I can see the benefits, the cons are having to carry something extra and extra fiddling around.

      1. That’s awesome, I want one !

I know lens are expensive for SLR/DSLR cameras, which is one of the factors why I don’t have one … but $69 for this, bargain, I’ll have to see if I can source one locally 🙂
