The fruit tastes lovely and it also makes a really good cream called ‘paw paw cream’. It’s marketed here in Australia and use for everything from nappy rash to chapped lips.
They use it in Thailand to make a spicy Papaya salad, which goes nice with rice 🙂 Hadn’t heard of it’s healing properties before !

It looks like it may be a member of the Phylidandrum family but I’m not sure… Is there a Philanthropist in the house? LOL! There are so many plant species, it’s hard to keep up. I like it too tough and wonder if it would grow indoors? Rip it out by the root and test it :O)
Might get in trouble it’s at a religious area … I do see them around and about, so perhaps when I’m a bit more settled myself I’ll try uprooting one … CHeers DC

No idea, I only just found out that it’s a Papaya !
