Big Buddha from the my “Big Buddha hill trip” at the weekend.
Final one of the tower panoramas of the big Buddha, hope you enjoyed:)
Taken on iPhone 4S, stitched together with PTGui Pro. The Panorama was then corrected using Altostorm Panorama Corrector II and final touches done in Photoshop CS6. The panorama is 8 photos stitched together, 2w x 4h photos (landscape orientation). The raw/master panorama is 30 megapixels.

Beautiful.

🙂 thanks
It’s an amazing photograph! I would definitely go ahead & remove the wires 🙂
Thinking about it not sure I agree … I had to remove one wire because the stitching software didn’t join it properly … the wires support the tower that’s behind the buddha … when I’m editting photos there’s a line between enhancing and making a blatant lie that I’m not sure I want to cross too often … not even sure why the tower is there in the first place … I’ll have a look at it for my final gallery, maybe I will maybe I won’t, we’ll see … cheers DC
I like this photo but find the power lines distracting. I’m afraid I’d have to clone them out 😉
I already cloned one out due to the fact the panorama wouldn’t line them up ! They aren’t power lines, they support the tower that’s behind him … if I take the lines out, then I have to remove the tower ?
I don’t think it would make too much difference to remove the line and tower. I realise you want integrity in your photos but this is enhancing the photo. I remember being at a camera club meeting critique with a guest judge and heard him criticise a photo of a field because the power lines hadn’t been cloned out.
OK, I’m doing a final gallery, so I’ll look at it again then … thanks for feedback it’s useful:)
No worries. Just a suggestion is all. After all it is your photo. Lol
Thanks, I’ll look at it again when I do the final gallery, until then sitting on the fence:)
