LO-VE – Silverlake Vineyard

Some of you may remember I posted a wider angled panorama of this back in January.

Here’s a closeup of the LO-VE bit …  It’s at the Silverlake Vineyard, I very much enjoyed visiting, a very photogenic place 🙂

  1. Reblogged this on trivialistic and commented:
This statue of L-O-V-E, strikingly different from its other copies, is horribly made: skewed, crooked, awfully painted, disgracefully aligned, clumsily proportioned, blah blah. And for all of those eerie reasons, I love this hideous replication of the famous icon. Who says that LOVE is always perfectly fine and sophisticated and elegant? I am very much fond of this horrid beauty and terrible entertaining representation of love. Stripped off of all the blatancy, however weird it is, love is the ultimate strangeness.
Yeah, you’ve got the love, you’ve got the love… ♫♪♩

    1. Thanks dude, you’ve been quite, but I didn’t post anything asian that needed identifying 🙂

      I didn’t realise this was a copy … and yeah it’s cool …

    1. Thanks … and have to confess being an art ignoramus, so I don’t know Peter Max ! I did ask someone to explain the Tate Modern once, but she never got around to taking me …

      1. Not sure of that, just I concentrated on the technical serious parts of myself in my formative years, the creative pursuits are something new to me 🙂

      2. Ah got it! I also forget you were in the UK. Here Peter Max’s art was everywhere from magazine covers to cereal boxes… part of the psychedelic movement. Like you I am kind of new to photography. i bought my first digital camera 3 years ago. The digital age is perfect for you with your technical side. I get a bit overwhelmed with the technical.

      3. LOL, yes the technical can be overwhelming even for hardened geeks sometimes ! … and yes UK varies from US culture wise, interesting to know snippets of US culture as helps relate … I’ve had digital camera since 10 years I guess, it’s only this year I’ve really used them though !
