Round the side of the top of the big Buddha hill there’s a “mezzanine” area, which most people don’t even have a look at … Well I’m not most people and found another Buddha hidden out of sight …
I don’t know if he’s been built to be painted and he’ll go on display later, or whether he’s a special Buddha for another reason ….

I actually prefer this one to all the glitzy golden ones, looks very powerful and not at all kitschy.
Certainly more humble, personally I like both, I guess others some will like the gold glitzy one and others will like this one he’s more “Honest” perhaps ? DC
He looks very awaiting, maybe he meditate and wait for his time.

Different, and so tall. Wonder what he’ll look like when finished? I’m sure he can’t be finished yet. They have to paint him and give him a life. Maybe he’s the lost Thursday.
Could be, but I suspect I just missed getting one of the plaques in the photos … It was interesting to take a walk around this area, off the beaten track… i enjoyed:)
