1. So true. And ultimately the worst that can happen when you take all the shots you have been given, is that you miss a few. At least you are still improving your swing while trying and you are not left with the gnawing, life-draining ‘What-ifs’ that comes when you don’t give it all you’ve got

3. Is it possible that not all of these commenters know who Wayne Gretzky is? He was talking about hockey, but I do feel how it could be applied to photography.

   1. I agree with that. I thought of photo when I read the quote, before I saw it was Gretsky who had said it. The quote gets another meaning when applied on missed photo opportunities. All those sunsets passing by without a camera nearby…

   2. Same principle applies everywhere … some days I just don’t feel like taking photos, and I’m sure to have missed some really nice shots on these days …
