We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.

  1. Yes it is true that appreciating how blessed we are makes us happy. But sometimes, you can’t help but notice the ones that you don’t have or you think what could have happened if I choose this path??? Wondering. Thinking…. But yes, definitely, we have to cultivate that attitude of appreciating what we have!

  2. So very true. Happiness is inner. Appreciation comes from self-actualisation and self-awareness. To pursue a goal, first we must accept the hand we were dealt 🙂

      1. True…yet moon walking still requires consideration of steps… so cognitively we remain self aware and in control lol

      2. Learnt and conditioned behaviour maybe, yet it still requires a level of conciousness to ascertain emotional involvement. As in driving a car, it becomes a learnt and habitual skill yet it still remains concious or we would all be at risk lol 🙂
