One of my new favorite quotes! Love it!
It’s a good one for sure 😀
We all have a ‘ship’ and a ‘captain’, and we all take our ‘ship’ with us as we move through life. When we consistently give our subconscious mind (the ship) firm directions from our conscious mind (the captain), we are much more likely to reach our goals and embody the personal values we admire or aspire to. Without a captain giving orders from the bridge, the ship would probably end up going round in circles, or end up on the rocks. So a cooperative and functional relationship between our conscious and subconscious minds wonderfully guides our journeys and greatly helps us to reach our destinations in life.
I am sure you are well into the process and habit of positive self-management Don! (and thanks for the positive and thought-provoking sayings you come up and share with all of us).
Wise words from you my friend … and you’re very welcome … I do my best with positive self-management, getting there step at a time 😀
The ship relates to the subconscious mind (and the soul). The Captain relates to the rational and logical conscious mind. What good would a ship be without a Captain to steer it!
That’s a good way of explaining it 😀
For me it’s about taking responsibility, and choosing my own destiny … I think the captainless ship is probably what I’m moving away from, so, not sure if I’m disagreeing with you, or not in that !
