If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have a paradise in a few years.

  1. I have to say I disagree. I think there are plenty of people who fit this description already. What I think it would take is a large number of people who desire the happiness of other people more than their own happiness.

  2. An incredibly interesting perspective! Wow, it totally throws some of the dynamics of my family into a very interesting light. I won’t go into any details but do feel utterly vindicated at my feelings! This was better than spending a fortune on a therapist!

    1. Glad for saving money on the therapist in some parts of the world they are more expensive than lawyers … happiness for me starts within oneself, or at least that’s what we should aim for … it’s a bonus then if others make us happy too 😀
