Great quote! One thing I’ve learned is that sometimes we can be both of the aforementioned characters. I don’t mean that in a ‘mental health’ sense Lol
I mean that often times, we are our own biggest supporters; as well as hindrances. I guess our success comes down to which part of ourselves we listen to, at the time we are making our decisions.
Agreed, very much Ethan 😀
Love this!

I hear from the doubters all the time: they usually have nothing going on in there own lives when they doubt others ideas.
Thanks for the reblog and couldn’t agree more !
No worries, thanks for posting it!
YW
It’s so easy to stand on the sidelines and criticize. There’s a saying in French that is even more to the point: “Si t’aides pas, nuis pas!” (If you don’t want to help, at least don’t hinder)…
Exactly 😀
One of my fav’s!:D
We are all equipped for different things yeah…JUST because WE cannot do something or see our way through to accomplish something, doesn’t mean someone else cannot do exactly what we think is impossible.
OH – and a big one…learning to KNOW when you ARE the one interrupting the doing 😉
Have an awesome week Don!
LOL, I’ve been in both shoes, better to be in the doer rather than the preventer’s shoes …
F YEAH 😉
…and me too dear.

I’ve heard this before and I must say: if it weren’t for the for the one doing ‘it’ then nothing would EVER get done!
The one doing it stand the greatest chance of succeeding in fact the only chance of succeeding.
Totally agree with you on that … don’t they also say, “those who can’t do teach ?”
The only authentic teacher is one who speaks what they know through their own experience, through having done/been there, currently doing.
I’d run with that 😀

Good one indeed!
Thanks Rajiv …
Don, you very right.
LOL, thanks !
love this quote! I am a scientist and ironically this is a criticism often used to not fund more adventurous scientific approaches or sometimes just because the scientist has no experience in the proposed strategy. I think I have to find a way to include the quote in my next project proposal! love your blog. I find myself to often be inspired by your words. thanks Don Charisma!
Thanks, it resonated with me … usually I find with my writing if I have it in mind before I start, it finds a serendipitous way of weaving in … two approaches are making it your own through paraphrasing or citing it as it is … scientists tend to be pedantic, so may be best to stick with citing !
Some people hate to be proved wrong.

Myself included !
I guess we all have a bit of that in us.
