3. DC, Nice! and if I may, an interesting fact about St Alfege’s is that it was a part of the “50 Church Commission in 1711.” Alas, only 12 were built. More info here: http://londonhistorians.wordpress.com/2011/06/11/the-50-churches-act-of-1711-hawksmoors-contribution/
