Animals don’t like me taking photos of them. They don’t seem to mind if I walk past and don’t pay them any attention. But by the time I’ve got my iPhone out, unlocked it, they know I’m up to something.
This little cat was sound asleep snoozing in the early evening heat on the little cup on the top of the baby elephant’s head. That is until I tried to take her picture. And no she wasn’t going to let me get a close-up ! Was a much better photo with her asleep … ah well never-mind:)
So I guess I’ll practice my stealth skills, or buy an expensive camera with zoom lens !

In order to get this a bit closer up I cropped for 4:3. The cat was almost washed out colour wise, so to get the colours looking better I used the shadows and highlights tool, well highlights (I turned the shadow off), in Photoshop. I seem to be using this tool more and more since I discovered it:)

Very cute Don.
I am two days behind on reading blog posts. *sigh*
Thx … no worries, I’ve posted a lot so take your time … I will do a gallery at the end if you missed any … cheers DC
Cats are independent for sure. I have quite a few of my youngest cat giving my camera the “if looks could kill” look (you know the one I mean). None of my three cats would ever let a stranger come up to them with a camera. Go figure.
So i got lucky then I guess with the cat photos … I’ll keep on practicing, eventually I’ll get it right, I’m sure there’s an art to it !
Maked me smile too.

Thought I’d throw in a curved one, mix it up a bit 🙂
What a fun photo! It makes me smile.
LOL, the cat just wouldn’t sit still so only managed to get one shot, she looked so peaceful before I stopped to take her picture !
