“British Public SLAM Media Over Fake News During Lockdown” (Mahyar Tousi)

This is quite apt and immediately relevant to me (thanks Mahyar), considering recent conversations I’ve had with commenters about things like “fake news” and most of the mainstream media’s reprehensible, sometimes malevolent behaviour – past, present and future (in US, UK and Australia) – who are on the way out by the way, permanently, unless they actually start doing real journalism again, as opposed to extremist political activism disguised as journalism.

Mainstream media – Either moderate yourselves, learn some ethics and lookup what “journalism” means or we’ll oversee your obsolescence, which Mayhar Tousi (and plenty of other people, channels and outlets) are already planning. Along with the current UK government in the case of the BBC and Channel4. Who knows maybe I’ll join in on the farewell party for the liars, spinners, manipulators, brainwashers, slanderers, defamers, fear-mongerers and cowards, wish them goodbye and good riddance – thanks for the new job/business, enjoy flipping burgers at McDonalds.

If you hadn’t figured it out by now – Social media and the internet over the last 10 years or so has ended the mainstream media’s stranglehold on what is true and what is not – So whilst there’s aspects of social media I don’t like, this is one of the BIGGEST the silver linings I’ve ever seen.

Sorry, got a bit carried away there … but I know for A FACT that I’m not the only one who feels this way, millions I’m sure have already woken up to this, leftists and rightists.

This update from Mayhar Tousi, from about 1 hour ago @ 14-Apr-2020 19:22 UK time.

I came across Mahyar Tousi’s channel a few months ago. He provides an informative populist discussion of (mostly UK) – current affairs, culture and politics, is well spoken, engaging and charismatic.

(Thanks Mayhar for your hard work)

Hope you and your loved ones are safe, and stays that way.

  1. I’m actually getting a bit fed up with Sky News – they seem to be inclining more towards bashing the government than they used to be. As Bill Gates said, no country’s going to get an A grade for dealing with this. (Although Germany’s doing pretty well.) No-one’s ever had to deal with this before. No, there wasn’t enough protective equipment for a major pandemic, because a major pandemic hasn’t happened since 1918/19. Governments are trying! Yes, some businesses are going to fail – that’s very sad, but the government just can’t bail out everyone. The TV channels and most of the newspapers have been fairly good over this, though – the nastiness is coming from certain elements of social media.

    1. Thanks for the update. I remember you recommend Sky news to me before, which was kinda contrary to what I’d seen myself, but I keep an open mind. OK, so I’ll take them off my trusted sources list then, thanks for letting me know. I tend to watch Sky News Australia who report global events, and they’ve been pretty good (through election, Brexit etc)

As for the rest of what you wrote, thanks, it was informative and added to my writing and Mayhar’s video.

Overall from what I’ve seen and heard in US and UK, the leaders are doing their best, in a situation that we weren’t prepared for. The Chinese fucked us by the sounds of it.

Richard Branson owns my mortgage company, that I’m stuck with – the rate they charge is extortion considering today’s base rate. So, he can fuck off asking us to bail out Virgin airways out of our pockets (I hope he didn’t get it) – sell his island or spend some of his billions in savings. I used to like the guy, look up to him even, but that move was just unbelievably greedy and selfish.

      (Sorry for the grumble)

Hope you’re doing OK, nice to hear from you. Stay safe 🙂

    1. Que pasa hombre ! (hope I got that right)

It popped up at an opportune moment, I’d been discussing these topics elsewhere with a couple of people – and then up pops Mayhar Tousi in my feed. He’s Iranian (or Iranian heritage) I think he said, and often he posts informative stuff on mostly UK politics and current affairs.

Maybe one day I’ll learn enough Spanish to find and understand the Spanish channels. Right now, I could order a beer and pizza, and ask if the bathroom was to the left or right. ie I know a little bit of Spanish

      1. Easy, din´t even read your whole comment, just read your first sentence of the comment
        before responding.
Take it easy, Stay Frosty gent.
Don´t take the bait, knowing a bit myself of human behaviour….. just don´t do it, would be me guess but I can be wrong

      2. Also after sleep got that one too – Reminds me of Al Pacino, “Scarface” :

“You wanna fuck with me? Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend!” – Tony Montana (Al Pacino)

      3. Forgot dum shit. For your not so subtle comments, I will call me…. they “bailarina”
Now try try it, I´m done with you shit ‘punk.
Unless you keep on and trust me you will find yourself in a good situation. That is not a threat, that is the trurth. The truth in my caxe will always set you free. It has happened before and will happen again.
Keep it going on my man.
And thank you very much for the last comment about worrieng about my familly,
        you stupid punk.
        Where is your Chstrisma?
The comment will go to another place that is not public, but if you are truly a MAN that I doubt by the way, make the comment public and respond, If you are a man, and you have a lot more resources than I do, but fuck you also,

    1. Yup, I looked into UK, US and Australia during my research of politics, UK general election and Brexit. There are a few trustworthy mainstream media sources – I found Sky New Australia very good, one of the best, and they report on global stuff. And also a commenter recommended Sky News in UK, and I have friends who listen/watch LBC (Radio and YouTube), again UK.

In the US, I’m sure you’ve figured out already who “good eggs” are. If not, then just keep digging and you’ll find them. I absorb quicker with video, so tend to dig around on YouTube. There’s also BitChute for those voices who’ve been kicked off YouTube.

Also for mainstream outlets, there are sites that rate them on things like left/right bias, and accuracy of reporting – but I’d take that information with a pinch of salt. Sorry I don’t remember the name of the site, Google will know 🙂
