NSFW – High Court Win For Free Speech In UK – WE GOT A PROBLEM

I found the “WE GOT A PROBLEM” YouTube channel whilst researching Brexit (& politics) over the past few months. I do recommend his channel, as a counter-mainstream-bias source.

IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED BY PROFANITY – DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO. I’M NOT CLICK BAITING, HE DOES ACTUALLY USE *A LOT* OF STRONG LANGUAGE.

So with that out of the way,

In the UK, the Police are said to have 1000 people working on policing Twitter, who’re said to be trying to “prevent people’s feelings getting hurt”. They use the Communications Act 2003 – Section 127 of the act makes it “an offence to send a message that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character over a public electronic communications network.”

It’s one of the reasons why we don’t *actually* have free speech in UK. (2003 as I understand it was Tony Blair, Labour government in the UK)

The law has been “spun” (in this case) to include people talking about gender, and in particular “mis-gendering” an individual, on Twitter – thus causing “alleged” offence to the recipient. And then, thus Police “harassment” directed at Harry Miller and expensive court cases and high court case etc

It’s my opinion that this manpower (1000 Police, and heaven knows how much court and legal worker’s time, and all of that money involved) would be better served fighting actual real crime rather than policing hurt feelings on Twitter. Things like :

·         Rising knife crime

·         Regular terrorist attacks in London

·         Police actually responding to burglaries again.

·         Police actually walking the streets and patrolling in cars.

·         Widespread child sex grooming gangs

·         County lines drug gangs (criminals using children as drug dealers across county lines)

·         And so on.

Call me a bit old fashioned – but I think being safe from violent crime, and physical and sexual abuse, for oneself and one’s loved ones, is a bit more of a priority than hurt feelings via becoming offended, on Twitter, or anywhere else for that matter. I think people should be polite to each other – it’s human social interaction 101 and plain just good manners – but policing that via law, and therefore truncating a person’s free speech, is a *VERY* dangerous Orwellian path. Today it’s a cause you support, tomorrow it’s you who is being gagged/locked up – That’s how that path extrapolates.

I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.

So, I’m sharing this video made by an indie reporter (on Politics and News in the UK), who’s standing up for free speech and speaking out about such issues as Harry Miller’s case. Even though he does swear a lot (who knows maybe you like that)

“The High Court Upholds Free Speech In Harry Miller Case, We have never lived in an Orwellian Society” :

Disclaimer – I AM JUST PASSING THIS ON (as fakestream media continues to lie, omit, cover up and spin an extreme minority narrative) – When opinions are stated anywhere on this blog they are just opinions, not facts, truths or endorsements. I am not a journalist or an activist and TBH most of the time not a “serious” writer either, more I enjoy creative writing (blogging is supposed to be fun?). I’m a centrist, I read and view content from both sides of the aisle (as long as it’s not blatant propaganda, or utter trash) – so I’m sharing this for your information, something you may not be aware of and may be interested in (or not, in which case, just go to the next post). As with any news, article, post, writing or report, don’t just take it at face value, do your own research, use your own critical thinking. Kind of obvious really, but best stated, so that it’s clear.

Cheers
