So peaceful.
😀
Very pretty. 🙂
Grassy-arse
Not if I can help it. Grass stains are hell to get out of clothes.
LOL, yup, true enough Suz, your humour seems to be intact, thankfully 😀
Only on my good days 😉
You’re always having good days when you’re chatting with me 😀
😉
Do you know what schools of Buddhism are practiced in Thailand? Curious, because I practice a form that has origins in India and Japan.
I haven’t looked into the particular dialect of buddhism here … they seem to incorporate bits from other religions here too, for instance ginesh the hindu god can be seen quite often in statue form …
That’s sort of what I thought…..the life philosophy draws from many traditions native to that region.
I’m no expert, as I think already … personally my bottom line is “Know thyself” anyway, which is why I don’t ‘follow’ any organised religion …
I do not particularly follow any “organized” religion. My school of Buddhism has no priests, no monks, it’s all on you. If you get a bad effect, you probably did something to deserve it. The only real constant thing is the law of Cause and Effect. Which just makes sense, whatever you do (cause) is going to create a reaction (effect). We are also real big on as you put it, “Know thyself”. That’s one of the other basics is to cut through all the facades we build to protect ourselves, and live as one’s true self. Easier said than done 🙂
Easier said than done is right, but at least you know the path and are on it 😀
Good point. It may not appeal to all, because like you said: easier said than done
The right path isn’t necessarily the easy one …
I am beginning to accept that the right path is most frequently the most difficult one….my school of Buddhism (among many different schools) teaches that when you start running into obstacles, you are on the right path. That which does not kill you makes you stronger….
If you’re running into obstacles then you’re probably making progress …
Yup. Little things and sometimes big things get in the way, but the path less traveled is more interesting, imho…
Sometimes, but not always, sometimes it’s ok just to follow the same path as everyone else 😀
I tried that once in high school…it didn’t work for me 🙂
