Shells attached themselves to a bit of driftwood … not the most sensible of homes, as it’s now on the beach !

Hi Don, Thanks for following my blog! I was having a browse around yours, and noticed this post. I found some of those on the beach this August too, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, and in all the years I’ve been going there, had never seen the like. They are pelagic goose barnacles. Mine were attached to a large bull kelp.
You’re very welcome, and it’s lovely to hear from you … yes they caught my eye, seems a shame really they didn’t find a “safer” mooring !
I know, that was my same reaction — like a whole little city, cast into an inhospitable environment. But beautiful. BTW, I really like your avatar pic!
😀 … thanks very kind, I have a post somewhere about how I did it 😀
That’s pretty cool! I’ve never seen that before!
Caught my eye 😀
I dunno, beachfront property is something people would pay a lot of money for! 😀
LOL, these guys paid the ultimate price, got washed up on the beach …
Urban sprawl?
LOL, that’s funny Iris, top marks for originality and imagination !
