This little chap is a regular in my garden, I often watch him watching me when I’m doing the dishes. It’s always lovely to see him. He’s like my guardian angel, looking over me.
Managed to catch him standing proud on this stand. Enjoy…

Nice capture. I read the title and then saw the photo and then said to myself, “What kind of ‘robin’ looks like THAT?” Now, I know: the “European Robin.” What we call “robins” in the States look much different and have no red on their heads; only on their front. It’s the second most prolific bird in North America.
Not sure they’re so prolific over here. I guess the number 1 bird is the pigeon – at least in cities where people like to feed them.

I saw the robin before I read where the picture was taken and I said myself wow! they have European robins over there! So, do you have any robins where you live?
I’m in the UK, so I guess they’re the same European robins!
Oh sorry, Don reblogged you, now I see! I though it was his picture and was anxious to find out what kind of robin they have where he lives:) Sorry Dannyboy!
No probs. I put my photos on here too, so easy mistake to make 🙂
So cute! And so nice to listen too.
Thanks
How delightful! I am surrounded by hundreds of awesome birds, eagles, blue jays, robins, swallows. They’re actually quite noisy first thing in the morning.
Perfect for getting you up in the morning!
Handsome he is!
Indeed 🙂
How cute!! Just wondering about what’s going on over there in Thailand and if it’s affecting you leaving the house? Maybe you’ve mentioned it but I haven’t gotten there yet in my stream. Hope you’re doing well Don.
Best ask Don on one of his posts as he tends to leave mine to me. I think he’s doing fine out there at the moment.
oops i thought this was his! so sorry
No probs Laura 🙂

I love he just hangs out matter-of-factly. I have a couple of cardinals who hang around my home and it’s always nice to see the flash of red up in the trees…
Yes, they are great little birds. I always worry the cat’s going to nab them.
o gosh yes 🙂 they are wonderful, one mind, the generations have known me 😉
🙂
So cool how they seem to come back to see you! We have a red cardinal boy that my kids and I believe keeps visiting every year. We call him Pookie! 🙂
Yes, there’s a pair of them flying around the garden. I’ll try to get more pics of them in the coming days.
Their presence is said to be associated with a visit from someone who has previously passed over! In a good way of course!
Lovely shot
So long as they’re looking out for me 🙂
Be sure of it my friend!
