  1. There’s a wi-fi company here that says if you sign up for their service you can take your TV anywhere to watch your favorite shows. Maybe this was a guy who signed up, wanted to relax and watch “The Simpsons” at his favorite spot on the beach and couldn’t get the signal.

Frustrated by the whole experience he left the TV tube, went home and cancelled his subscription.

Who knows, now that he has all kinds of free time he may be turning his atention to more rewarding pursuits…like writing…TV shows.

    Best Regards,
    Eric

  2. 😀 wonderful cathode ray tube.. my father used to repair them 🙂
    Good night Don!

      1. Yes, they do. It’s easier and faster to buy a new television set than fix it 🙂

  3. hopefully it wasn’t floating somewhere in the ocean and ended up on that beach.

  4. Even appliances have the feeling that there is too much technology. The T.V. needed to be in the presence of nature. That’s my take on things.

      1. Unfortunately, it seems to be blissfully unaware of the detrimental effects of combining electronics with water… Gee, I hope it’s okay.

      2. I don’t know. I’ll try unplugging an appliance this morning and pull it into the bath with me. I’ll keep you posted. If I don’t reply, you’ll know why!

      3. I think it would be more of a sizzle. Hey, I’m up to the challenge! I love to prove a point, especially in the pursuit of scientific knowledge. Give me electricity or give me death.
I wonder if Edison ever shocked himself?

      4. Challenges that don’t potentially cause death or harm to oneself, probably, but one must always keep striving, even if you get a bit seared in the process.

  5. LOL! Remember that movie, Creepshow? The guy buries his wife and her lover in the sand and makes them watch each other’s deaths on a TV set. A gruesome subject, I’m sure, but it makes me laugh because it was made before the age of wireless, so the bad guy needs a truck and miles and miles of extension cords to get power and a signal, all of which he is tripping over and shorting out in the waves. I’m telling you, life was hard for creepy psychopaths in the olden days 🙂

The final scene is just a disembodied TV set half buried in the sand.

  6. That ain’t no soap opera happening there. Unless it was a soap opera and we are witnessing the epilogue!

    1. You only just found out ? … you need to get some more “up to date” friends Audrey, been common knowledge in my circles for months 😛

  7. I’ve always wanted to watch a good film whilst feeling the sand between my toes 🙂
