This one was taken last year, it has extra sand and extra sky. I really like the pastel shades and the silhouette palm tree leaf doesn’t hurt 🙂

so subtle so effective. Beautiful scene!
Thanks 🙂
Gorgeous photo! Looks so peaceful!
Thanks 🙂
I want to be there!
Plane & ticket ?
It goes to show the rule of thirds doesn’t always need to apply. A good shot Don.
Didn’t get that, perhaps I’m just being dumb … and thanks 🙂
No not dumb at all. I was commenting on the fact that the sky and beach take up more space, leaving the sea smaller and the effect is really great. 🙂
Ah thanks Laurie, and sorry it just didn’t register … with my panos I can get fisheye like scenarios, so sometimes there’s a huge amount captured in the photo, often gives something special that’s not seen in “normal” photography
I wouldn’t mind being on that beach right now! Lovely photo.
… Keep reading more to come 🙂 DC
This picture is so beautiful..it should be in a travel brochure! Thanks for liking my post. That York Dungeon is a gruesome place to be sure! Have a blessed day.
🙂
Love your watermark, well done,,,Excellent
Thanks dude 🙂
Simply beautiful, very easy on the eye.
Thanks 🙂
So is all that stuff about guis info. re your post-prod.?
Sure is taking off, all this …
Sighh …
When I come across a challenge sometimes I rise to it … I enjoy the post-production as much or more sometimes than the photography itself, because it’s enabled me to represent real life more as I really see it …
Not, then, as you’d like to really see it?
[grin]
Really ? [frown in exasperation]
It almost makes one to step in through the looking glass and join the panorama…
Almost … and that’s a good thing for a photo to make one absorb the vibe 🙂
Gosh, I miss Thailand… I’d jump of joy for an opportunity to drag air tanks in and out of longtails and wash dirty (I don’t even want to think about what kind of…er…dirt, actually) wetsuits for a sunset on the beach with a Singah, or the magical sense of peace and contentedness when the liveaboard guests finally go to sleep and I can fold out the Thai mattress and fall asleep listening to the waves against the boat.
Hey Cay, very well written, and you’ve definitely been diving professionally in Thailand ! … I’m putting your comment on my front page, so you may get a few visitors !
Warm regards
DC
Wow! Thank you! I have indeed dived quite a bit in Thailand and I miss the lifestyle almost every day. At the moment my equipment is hanging drip drying in the shower and it’s with a heavy heart that I’m putting it away until next holiday. *Sigh* It’s no fun growing up.
🙂 thanks Cay for the lovely writing, you summed up the positive aspects very concisely … back to work then ?
Can almost feel my stress ebb away as if I were sitting right there on the sand listening at the water’s edge. Thanks!
🙂 you are welcome … DC
Very nice effects you did make here. A beautiful and exotic beach photo, where I would like to stay and just look.
Thanks for sharing.
Irene
Thanks Irene, I’m usually looking to get the best representation of what I see 🙂 cheers DC
Such a great photo! Good job.
Thank you 🙂
Thank you for liking “Wind Carvings.” I enjoy looking at your sunset photos. I especially like the watercolor sky in this one. Thailand has some beautiful beaches.
You are welcome, and thanks I love sunsets because they are beautiful and it’s great that others love them too 🙂
